So it’s rare that I don’t cook and if we eat out it’s Mexican food cuz I don’t make Mexican food. Had been to Carlitos 4-5 time 2 years ago and usually good. However husband wanted Mexican food tonight so he chose Carlitos. I ordered fajitas with extra guac and sour cream cuz I love guac. Not only did I not get extra I got NONE and no tortillas at all. Bout tablespoon of rice and beans both of which were cold. The queso with meat was like a lump in container with lump of cold meat on top and whatever the green crap that was put in with fajitas I have no idea but it SURE WASNT PICO!!! I will not be going back and ruining my once every 3 month night if not cooking . I don’t know what happened to this place but it stinks now

Cost is what plummets the rating. (See picture) This is an $8.00 “lunch special”. That’s right. 2 cheap, crunchy tacos and 1 small spoonful of beans and 1 small spoonful of rice.
Other menu items are of similar cost and size, especially if you get it “to go”. This is NOT worth 21.26 for two small lunch orders of 2 crunchy Taco Bell tacos. (See Pic).
The staff are friendly enough. The setting is ok at this location. But the food is way over priced. People giving this place 5 stars must have 5 yachts and 3 mansions, in order to not to be bothered by the sky high prices (or small portions).
Also, why are we still doing crunchy tacos instead of street tacos? Nowhere on the menu does it specify that it’s crappy, “taco Tuesday”-at-Karen’s, crunchy tacos, and not regular soft tortilla tacos with steak that you’d expect to get at a mexican restaurant.

We stopped at it, which is on the side of the road, on our way home.
The service was very polite and patient. We were served a lot of males.
We tried the starter empanas with cheese dip. They were delicious.
The other dishes were well served and tasty, a little salty. I missed the side salad.

The food is always great here with ample portions and reasonable prices. Excellent use for an old Dairy Queen and they make a much better taco.

Stopped in for a quick meal on the way back home while traveling, server was helpful in finding the allergens in the food my wife’s allergic to… MSG…. Unfortunately it’s in the salsa after she had a bowl but she had her meds to take…. She enjoyed the veggie fajitas and I enjoyed my street tacos.

Never been to a hispanic restaurant where menus are only in english tortilla to the tacos were not good the enchilada ground beef taste like it was boiled in water instead of cooking it in oil like its supposed to waiters are good ppl but change the name to tex mex its not authintic onky thing that was good was chips in salsa even tho i can get the same salsa at walmart
