As we were headed back home from SoCal, my wife & I really wanted to go to a Diner. So since we were gonna pass Bakersfield, we figured we’d just look one up and Carla’s Cafe looked like the best choice. We didn’t wanna don’t the whole “Fancy Diner” thing but just a small Mom N Pop shop with that Home feel to it and this place delivered. The Food was delicious and legit tasted homemade. The way Mom would’ve made it. I had the Hamburger Patty & Eggs. Patty was well seasoned and over medium eggs were perfect The Sourdough Toast was a bit burnt but that didn’t matter too me, I burn Toast all the time. Lol The service was great! The server, who I believe was the owner, waited on us and she was helpful & kind. A major plus in my book!
Overall it was a great experience and can see us Coming back again to try the sandwich out burgers.

Was headed back home from Hard Rock early morning and had this random craving for some Chicken Fried Steak. I hooked up maps and just so happened to be a few miles away from Carla’s . I knew it was destiny and it all kinda just fell together making a perfect breakfast ! I think the best part was that the owner was actually serving at the counter!! Very friendly and such a nostalgic experience..

Stopped in for a little breakfast, 10am on a Friday. Small place with a great atmosphere, atleast I thought so. I sat at the counter. Not many open seats in the place and at one point there was a 1-2 party wait for a table. Carla was working which was great to see and meet her. Eggs and bacon were good and cooked as ordered and the French toast was tasty. Got that and a Mr Pibb for $18 so not bad priced in my opinion. Would love to come back and try other things on the menu. Seemed like a nice small town Cafe or diner
