To be honest we got there about an hour before they closed, but we were the only ones. I had the chicken curry, Rice and beans and fried plantains and mine was delicious, my husband had a pork griot, which I think must be an acquired taste. The service was nice, And they even turned down to music when I asked, as it was too loud for conversation. I am going to try again in the future.

My brother-in-law and I were looking for a place to have some lunch after a round of golf and came across this place after our Google search. It’s in an older plaza and surrounded by a couple closed shops. When we walked in, there was no one else there, but I found a table ready for us because I had called and told her two of us were coming. So the table was sat on the menu was put out already. It took a few minutes for the server to come out but we were able to order Our drinks and at the same time our meals the one disappointment was they had run out of the whole red snapper. Brother-in-law had said his mind down. He ordered the grill fish and thought it was good. I Ordered the curried goat with rice and peas and fried plantains and it was delicious. Have attached a picture here the presentation was really good and everything was seasoned perfectly. I live in another state but when I’m back in the area, I’ll definitely visit again.

Good food, bad service. Called and placed and order for my husband for him to pick up at a central time woman that answered said it wasn’t a problem. When it came time for my husband to actually pick up the food no one came to the door he spent 20 mins ringing the bell, calling and knocking on the door. There were people sitting inside at the bar talking and laughing a little girl even came up to the door and walked back but no one came to even say anything to him. YES THEY WERE STILL OPEN. If this is how they’re gonna treat people I’d rather go elsewhere especially when the prices are so unreasonable.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The prices are extremely high for what you receive, portions are small, and the customer service was poor from start to finish. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, but instead of transparency or courtesy, it resulted in neglect and a bad attitude toward customers. There are much better options nearby. Mamados food truck in New London, CT offers better quality, better value, and actually appreciates customers.

What an amazing experience. The food was so delicious! Sorry for the long review but I wanted to make sure people reading this know how delicious the food is and tell everyone they know about this place.

My husband and I started with a punch drink, it was fruity and so refreshing. A MUST-HAVE!

For APPETIZER we ordered the Fried Zuccini Parmesan and were expecting Zuccini chips maybe with Parmesan sprinkled on it, but we were pleasantly surprised. It was delicious fried dough with Zuccini and I’m guessing the cheese was in it. And it was ah-mazing!

MAIN COURSE: Griot(fried pork) that same with a salad thingy on top annd fried plantain (yum) and Jerk chicken – (you pick your sides). I went with rice/beans and salad. I was so full after just eating half of it, I ended up having some left overs that I enjoyed the next day.

I really wanted to try dessert for the full experience but I was so full already, maybe next time!

So, if you’re looking for a place where the food is so mouthwateringly good, it will transport you to a place of bliss, this is the place you want to try.

Worth every single penny spent. Will definitely return again. Thank you for the amazing customer service. Can’t wait to visit soon

With its location off the main road in an unassuming strip mall it is easy to overlook but its more than worth hitting up for an incredible dining experience with a pleasant atmosphere. Interior is cutely decorated and surprisingly big on the inside with tasteful music at just the right volume. The staff is welcoming and kind. The food is comforting and hearty with plenty of flavor. If you are looking for filling and delicious meals you should eat here. I have lived in Groton for over 4 years and this is already one of my favorite spots to eat in the city. I highly recommend the oxtail!

Delicious food well worth the wait and money. Our waitress Amy was a sweetheart. She blessed us with complimentary fried zucchini balls that were amazing. We ordered the creamy chicken with white rice and fried plantains as well as the jerk chicken with rice and beans and plantains. Service was great, the atmosphere was welcoming and we left full with smiles on our faces. Already added to the list of regular places to eat.

The food was disgusting and highly overpriced no option to order small medium or large order almost $30 a plate and I never order chicken and with given curry chicken strips with hard pieces of potatoe not fully cooked. The rice and peas was black and it smelled really bad. I was so embarrassed when I brought Their dinner plate of curried, chicken strips and black rice was hard to open that plate and have the appearance I was truly flabbergasted. I couldn’t believe that I spent the amount of money that I spent for that disgusting meal. I don’t know what the health department is doing, but they need to close this place down. Not sure who gave them the idea or confidence to open up a business but most definitely that was a bad idea I do not advise anyone to eat here they even disguised the fact that It was a Haitian restaurant which I am a Trinidadian and west Indian food is not supposed to taste like that…let us Pray…smh

Visited Caribbean Delices last Friday. The restaurant was nice, clean and welcoming. It was quiet for a Friday night but that did not deter us. The menu was laid out nicely and easy to read. An employee helped to add more explanation of the menu items. My husband had the Griot and it was tender, flavorful and the pikliz( pickled veg) has a nice spice kick.
I had the chicken fricasee which was fall off the bone tender in a flavorful gravy. The rice and beans was soo good as well. Everything was really good. We’ll be back.
