I guess I’m not used to traditional Italian food? No Italian relatives… used to.. umm… I’m not sure what to say. We had a great time… if I go again.. will try other things. Mom got minestrone… it was a bit weak vegetable soup that was mostly cabbage (reminded us of a cabbage weight loss soup we used to eat).. I got the wedding soup… the eggs n meatballs were fine… the broth had so very little flavor. I rarely add salt to anything when I go out… but I did on that. We shared the bruschetta… which honestly was amazing… but a little less of the topping on the bread would still be good… it was piled so high that picking it up and eating put ‘maters in my nose… so to the fork we went… and it had so much garlic that your mouth burns a bit afterwards… but the tastiest thing we had. Daughter got spaghetti and meatballs… sauce too sweet… meatballs mostly bread crumbs.. and my kid doesn’t like alot of sauce… nor does she like it mixed all in… it was both. Unfortunately the restaurant left a bit to be desired… like I said I guess we’re not used yo “traditional Italian food”… our server was amazing!!! I wish it were a bit.. brighter? Lolol… I’m sorry.

Happy hour was awesome! Lovely service and bartenders. Loved it. The arancini and bruschetta were really yummy.

Not knocking the rest because the former was so good. But. The calamari was oddly small. The wine flight at the wine bar was too expensive.

I don’t know how this place maintain it’s stars. Maybe it’s the atmosphere. The food is one of the absolute worst italian food I have ever had. We had the pasta a la vodka and while the chicken was decent the pasta tasted and looked like it came from a can. It was tasteless, sticky and just disgusting. The spicy creamy chicken pasta, needs a new name. There is zero spice and zero taste. We ordered fried calamari and you could smell it before it arrived. It smelt like it was not washed in lemon. There was fried potatoe and fried red pepper mixed in between to pretend as though it was a full dish of calamari. There was barely any sauce for it. I had the shrimp scampi and it was literally just oil. On top of that was the hidden surcharge we were not informed of and the fact that the waitress was not friendly. I’ve always said Olive Garden was fake Italian food and I would not spend my money there but this place made Olive Garden look good. NOT GOING BACK!

06/29/2025 – The family and I returned to Carfagna’s Ristorante for another flavorful wine tasting. Highly recommend the Bigaro (top shelf). It is in the sweet category. It’s delicious cold or room temperature. I had to purchase it!

05/31/2025 – My family and I visited Carfagna’s Ristorante for a birthday celebration. We did their wine tasting which was an international experience and then ate at their restaurant. Complimentary bread with garlic butter provided. We order a few shots and wine to celebrate. I sampled their Meatball Trio which was tasty. For my entree, I ordered their Lasagna and it was deliciously zesty. The decor feels like you’re in Italy. Comfortable, spacious, and private spaces. Our server was amazing. Thank you, Steven. Parking out front. Decent prices.

Went here around 3:30 for their new happy hour and enjoyed every bit of it. We tried the Arancini (fried risotto with cheese) $5, the spicy spinach Alfredo dip with chips $5 and the garlic parmesan wings 10 for $7. The happy hour prices are unbeatable. Delicious, fresh food for amazing prices. Will definitely be back soon. Great job!

Solid Italian food, all things considered. Every dish is customizable for your selection of protein/pasta type/sauce.
Their tomato sauce is their best sauce. The vodka sauce was like real vodka sauce and buttered noodles had a baby. Don’t get it if you’re a fan of real vodka sauce, you will be disappointed.
Meatballs are fantastic. Bread was solid. Butter is good, light, spreadable, and well salted.
Do dine-in, takeout here can be unreliable. Their food is better when eaten immediately. And once when I got takeout, they forgot the meatballs with the spaghetti & meatballs dish. That was a disappointing lunch.

This is the single worst dining experience we’ve had in Columbus, and maybe anywhere. Walked in to place a takeout order for 1 pizza and 1 stromboli, were told 15 minutes originally but after paying were told it would be closer to 30-35 minutes. Reasonable, right? We provided our phone number and were instructed we would receive a text when our order was ready, as well as the hostess announcing orders and tables. Instead, we waited over an hour and 15 minutes for our order, and were never notified verbally or via text, even after checking in around the 35 minute mark as instructed. We were given a short snarky response from the hostess claiming “they are calling everything, they promise”, and we’re promptly ignored for the following 30 minutes afterwards. Only after the second attempt was our food found in the warmer, with no idea how long it had been sitting. We understand the restaurant gets busy. But the inaccurate wait time, instruction, and poor service is an example of everything not to do when running an establishment like this.

Simply put, do better. Won’t be back.

The food was excellent, and I have to say, the restaurant and bar are surprisingly nice. I’ve been shopping here on and off for decades, but this was only my second time dining at the restaurant. It definitely won’t be my last. I’ll be back for sure.

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon and had a wonderful meal. First, the attached market was great and OHLQ liquor store did allow for some browsing before getting seated for our meal. The food was wonderful, with just some great pasta dishes. Their sauces were great and not salty at all. Everything with the meal was top notch. Only complaint was the server was a bit too inattentive. It was not a busy Sunday afternoon and he did not stop by very often to refill drinks, ask how things were doing or to come get the check when we were ready to leave. Great meal, but service can be improved. Definitely will try again when in the area though.
