BACON ND EGGS
We live 2 hours away and had little stay-cation in plainville. Ate at the Cardinal Drive in and it was fantastic what a gem in middle of nowhere. Food was excellent and the atmosphere is great. If your looking for old school diner with great food definitely do not pass this place up.

Just happened on this delight and thought we’d try it. In an old drive in building and not very impressive from Highway 18 but the fried chicken Sunday buffet was wonderful. Some of the best fried chicken I’ve had in my 69 years. Mashed potatoes were real and tasty and the corn was flavorful and not overcooked. Good salad bar but nothing fancy. Felt like I was in a 1960’s roadside diner with real homemade food. Brunch included a piece of carrot cake that made my wife a fan of a cake never cared for in the past. Cheerful and friendly waitress. Overall a great experience and highly recomend.

Your local old school greasy spoon . Lots of deeelicious stuff and local faves. Been here a few times and it never disappoints. Very affordable and always friendly.

The food was great and very fairly priced. Wife and I both felt we got what we paid for. She had a Chicken fried steak sandwich and I had a specialty burger. I watched the cook cut my French fries fresh, they were amazing.
The restaurant was clean and comfortable.
The waitress wasn’t real attentive but in sure if I would have asked I would have had better service.
If Google maps did not indicate that this place was open I may not have stopped.
Great place, I encourage all tolerant and adventurous dining clients to give it a whirl.

Burgers are huge and very tasty. The fries are homemade and cooked perfect. I had the Ruben it was so good. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place. The meal price includes a drink. For 3 people it was under 30 dollars.
