The food is amazing, never takes them long to bring it out either. It is a drive in style place similar to sonic, and accepts cash or check only. I highly recommend checking them out when in Winfield, or taking a trip to try it out.

Holy cow. If you want an experience that will take you back to simpler times, visit this drive-in. Absolutely no frills but great food and an unbeatable price. Bacon cheeseburger and hot ham and cheese were both excellent as we’re the onion rings. Service was great, friendly car side service with a smile and a very welcoming feel. Have recommended this place to several people, if you’re anywhere close to yourself a favor and visit.

Love the food here. There’s not really any atmosphere. It’s a drive in. If you like the atmosphere at Sonic, you’ll like it here. This location used to be a Sonic when I was in high school. Good burgers and chicken tenders. Great value for the money.

I mean if your goal is to look at pretty girls then this is fine, you will see some. That was not my goal. Not very much food for your money at all. (I had to eat something else when I got home) Food was average tasting at best nothing special about the food or drinks at all. I had got a number 2 (burger) with extra cheese tots. Most of my extra cheese wound up on the box and not my tots. Tots where very small amount and so was the burger. Ill probably not be comming back unless im with someone that requests it. The ordering stations are all old and outdated. Nothing even remotely appealing about the environment except a few good looking waitresses, but again, I was there to eat not find a date.

Best place in Winfield for cheeseburgers. We love their cheese burgers, french fries, cup of cheese, and sweet tea! And always friendly customer service. Be sure to tip your car hop! They have 3 table outside if you don’t want your order to-go or to eat in your car.

Hello nostalgia, this is an adorable gem of a bygone era. This is a simple American fare, yes it is most likely frozen to start but it was freshly made to order and came fast. The service was spectacular, it was slightly crowded but it is noon on a Monday. Would recommend for a tasty stop and contribute to a nice local eatery.

Cash or check ONLY – always worth the stop! The sign says “since 1987” and I’m almost certain everything at this adorable drive-in is still original–and I mean that in the best way! We’ve eaten here twice, when in Winfield for sporting events, and it is the highlight of our trip. Every single thing on the menu is delicious and you can it’s made fresh to order with quality ingredients. I never thought I’d feel so passionate about a “fast food” joint, but trust me when I say it’s worth a stop. We’ve tried the burgers, corn dogs, fries and onion rings. My picky 8 yo rated the onion rings 10/10 and I have to agree. The star on the menu for me has got to be the strawberry shortcake! Service is fast and friendly. The Cardinal Drive Inn has got a good thing going and I hope the continue for many years to come.
