I am still thinking about this meal more than 30 hours later. Found Caravan Restaurant on a business trip and what an absolute gift of a discovery. I found easy street parking around the corner and had no trouble getting a table at lunch — truly a hidden gem.
From the moment I walked in, it felt like going to Grandma’s house. I was welcomed so warmly and immediately felt cared for. I ordered the chicken thighs with salad and an in-house iced tea. While I waited, my host brought out a basket of warm lavash bread and a small bowl of the best hummus I have ever had — and told me everything is made in-house.
The iced tea deserves its own paragraph: clean, refreshing, freshly brewed on the spot, and not a hint of bitterness. (Honestly… can I take the hummus and iced tea with me on my 7-hour drive home?)
When my meal arrived, it absolutely delivered — juicy, perfectly cooked chicken thighs, a fresh and beautifully dressed salad, plus a bonus roasted tomato and pepper that tied everything together. Every bite was wonderful.
The service was truly exceptional. As I was finishing my iced tea, my host brought me another one she had just brewed, explaining she didn’t want it to be watery by the time I drank it. That level of care is rare and deeply appreciated.
I so wish I were a local — this would be a regular spot for me without question. Until then, I’ll be thinking about Caravan and hoping for a reason to return.

Amazing place for lunch. I went there while waiting for my number at the DMV to be called. Service is exceptional and food ( the one I tried) was delicious. Had to run early before my food was ready as my number got called but the staff was amazing and they were ready to box the lunch immediately. Highly recommend

What a wonderful place to have a great meal. Food was absolutely delicious and well portioned. We loved the hummus. Marieta was such a beautiful host to us. She made us feel like we were having a meal at her kitchen table. My kids said they would give her 10 stars because she made them feel like they were at home and part of her family. Wonderful place to eat. The people are so friendly and nice. They made you feel at home. I had the lamb chops. Seasoned perfectly with basmati rice and roasted tomato and pepper. My wife has the beef shish kabob. Large pieces of beef that was delicious. We will definitely come back here again.

My family and I have been enjoying the meals at Caravan Restaurant for years. We’ve done takeout, catering, and dining in. I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant and the owner. At the least, super friendly and polite, fair prices, and most importantly delicious authentic food. From the mouth watering delicious meats to the tasty sides and pilaf, you won’t be disappointed. It’s rare that a restaurant surprises me to the extent that Caravan did in regards to food quality. This is STUNNINGLY good food, served fresh, and in a great atmosphere. The pork kebab is on a whole other level and we were treated like family right from the start. I could not recommend this place enough and I will be definitely be coming back!!

Best koobideh in town. I didn’t like chicken koobideh but they changed my mind. Very juicy. Don’t forget to try to tutu! The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming especially Armineh.
