My husband and I came from Florida to Savannah to evacuate from Hurrican Milton. We looked for a dive bar with a pool table, and we found Captains Lounge. We ended up going there twice during our 5 night visit to Savannah. The bartenders and drinks were awesome. The food was sooo good. We had the Philly cheese egg rolls on the first visit and the burger on the second. The music was perfect! And everyone was so friendly.
We ended up leaving our pool sticks after the second trip, and went back home to Florida. A month and a half later, our friends were going through Savannah , so I called Captains to see if they happened to still have them. Well, Heidi found the sticks and our friends stopped by and got our sticks back. We even had some change, chalk, and powder in the pockets of the cases, which were all still there. They definitely went above and beyond!
We will definitely be going back next time we’re in Savannah!

Food was great, bartenders were excellent, shooting pool was great, Aaron will cook you some lunch that is to die for. Heidi( the bar manager) will hook you up with whatever your heart desires.

Unpretentious and comfortable place to have some drinks with a friend. They have an AMI digital jukebox that can be operated by a phone app. Really cool.

My fiancee and I were visiting Savannah from Pennsylvania; we gravitate towards “dive” bars as they’re called up North. This place fit the bill perfectly. Decent prices, good people, good conversation. Nice pool set up if you’re game; kinda wish there had been a dart board or two (Steel or soft tip…. However, they may not be as popular in that area as they are up North.
