Found this restaurant on the Arlington Foodies FB page, I’m upset with myself for waiting so long to try this restaurant out! The food is amazingly delicious! Everything was made to order, fish, shrimp fries and hush puppies were piping hot. There was so much flavor in every bite. I ordered the 2 whole catfish with a side salad and coleslaw the salad was so fresh. You could tell it was also prepared at the time of order, tomatoes weren’t water logged or soggy.
My husband ordered fish and shrimp with hush puppies and fries, everything was well seasoned & delicious. For dessert we shared the peanut butter cake, it was the perfect amount of sweet.
The family that runs it was so kind and friendly. The service they provided just made me love this spot even more, not to mention the owner brought out a basket of fresh gizzards after hearing me mention how excited I was to see gizzards on the menu.
This will be our new seafood spot!
Oh and whatever they dust the food with is amazing, it needs to be bottled and sold lol

Captain La Fish, Chicken and more did not disappoint! The manager has such great energy and truly knows how to treat customers. You can tell he cares. The food was AMAZING!!! It was so fresh, seasoned just right, and cooked to perfection. The cooks did an amazing. It was a little quiet, but the peaceful atmosphere made the experience even better. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

I didn’t leave a review after our last visit, but the food was so delicious it brought us back. We ordered the catfish, shrimp, and fries, and everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Not only was the food amazing, but the people who work there were kind and genuinely welcoming. Thank you! We can’t wait to come back again and try something new!

Staff were super friendly/attentive and food was delicious. We tried their fish and shrimp combo (great portion and very well seasoned) All of their sides were good as well. (Hush puppies, fries, green beans, cole slaw, mac n cheese) Chicken tender combo (huge portion and again very well seasoned)

I was told by my neighbor about this place and he wanted to try it, so I decided to beat my neighbor to the punch!
First off, the staff is amazing friendly and made sure we taken care of.
I went simple and went with the fish and let me tell you it was good! Fried just right and the fries are top notch!!! The thing that got me was the tea. I ordered unsweetened tea and let me tell you, it is VERY refreshing and light. I added a package of sweet and low and boosted it to the next level. I could stop raving about it to my wife.
My wife ordered the jumbo shrimp and she could barely finish it. She really enjoyed it. She said it was some of the best shrimp she had in a long while!
We also decided to get some fried pickles and man they loaded it up!!!
They gave so much we couldn’t finish it that we had to take it home!
Definitely recommend and we definitely coming back! Im telling all my friends about this place!!!

we came here last weekend and as we’re in the car headed there again, i forgot i was going to leave a review! Y’ALL- this food was FIRE!!!!! the chicken, the hush puppies, the strawberry cake- all of it was delicious! also the owners were so kind and made sure we were taken care of, their hospitality definitely made our experience like 100x better than it already was! loved it here!!

Great FISH and even better service. Catfish was amazing and cooked to perfection! The prices are soo good! I use to travel all the way to Dallas for good fish but I can tell you with certainty their fish is better. These people are from Louisiana and you can tell by all the flavor!

We had a great experience at Captain LA! We tried the fried shrimp, oysters, and chicken — all were delicious and cooked perfectly. The quality of the food was excellent, and the portions were generous for the price. The corn on the cob was especially good — fresh, flavorful, and a perfect side. Service was outstanding; the staff was friendly and attentive. I even had the chance to meet the owner, who shared that this is his second restaurant. You can tell he takes real pride in what he’s built. Next time, I’m looking forward to trying something from the grilled menu. Overall, a great spot for quality seafood and comfort food at a great value. Highly recommend!

I’d seen previous reviews for Captain La Fush, Chicken, and more, but none really did this place justice. I thought it might be just a fast fry food joint. It’s actually a legit dine in restaurant with some of the best service around. The owner is from the middle east, very cordial, and extremely helpful with questions.
He helped me complete an order with the suggestion of a half order of livers with a two piece catfish and shrimp plate. Being a southerner, I was assuming that livers would come with cream gravy. They do things a little differently. Once I got past the difference of serving manner, I found this southerner liking a different way to have livers. They were seasoned with lemon pepper and served with ranch. It’s actually really good. The catfish and shrimp were as advertised on their building sign “Cooked to Perfection.” The tea was a mango tea and well worth a mention. What surprised me the most were in-house made desserts. They even had a Banana Pudding Cake! I was amazed that it even tasted like banana pudding.
An ideal place for some great fried foods and delicious desserts. Now I need to return for their chicken wings!

All this cost me roughly $30 plus a tip. I called and placed my order and guy over the phone said it’ll take 10 mins and that exactly how long it took me to get there and food was still nice and hot even when I got home. I’m not sure if the man there at 11:55pm last night was the manager or owner but he was super nice and recommended some great sauces to go with my meal. I do see myself returning!!
