Captain Krab in Harrisburg, PA, completely blows Red Lobster’s overhyped seafood boil out of the water. The flavor is on a whole different level—bold, spicy, and absolutely packed with that authentic Cajun kick. Their snow crab legs, shrimp, corn, eggs, and garlic noodles come out hot, fresh, and drenched in rich seasoning that Red Lobster’s version seriously lacks. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive—making the whole experience feel personal, not like some corporate chain rush job. While Red Lobster’s boil may look good on TikTok, it often falls flat in real life. Captain Krab, on the other hand, actually delivers—every bite tastes like it was made with heart. If you’re looking for a real seafood feast with flavor that hits, this is where you go.

My sons took me here for my birthday. It was where I wanted to go. There’s another similar restaurant in the area that serves up the same type of entrées and I’ve been there but I want to try this place out ratings look good upon going in the place is a little dated looking. I feel like it could be refreshed look a little nicer, not saying upscale per se, but just nicer. I feel it could be a nicer experience for the money that you’re paying for these boils two of us in the party got the two lobster tails and pound of shrimp boil bag that came with the broccoli potatoes, corn, and we went with the Hause sauce, which was a combination of the garlic butter and lemon and it was absolutely delicious. I was very satisfied. A lot of tails were nice size. I wasn’t sure if they were gonna give you little ones or not and the shrimp was overwhelming. I swear they gave you more than a pound in conjunction with all the other stuff that was in the bag. I struggled to finish it all, but I did service was a little slow to get started but once the waitress and I think she was there by herself, so it’s probably the reason why I was a little delayed, but once she got to us and got orders in, she was definitely very attentive and came around often enough if you’re looking for a good seafood boil I definitely recommend this place. It’s delicious like I said just now coming in. It’s it’s nothing fancy they give you bibs for a reason and I’m glad I was wearing mine as well as a dark shirt

We always have a great time when we go. Food is always amazing. My only complaint is their bathrooms. Maybe if they install better lighting in the bathroom and paint over all the signatures on the stalls guest would have a better experience because they allow the guest to tag the walls. I noticed over a dozen inappropriate words. They need to keep in mind that kids use the restroom as well. But overall, it’s a great place to eat in Harrisburg.

Food was good. Reason for 3 star rating is because employees are on their cell phones all together behind the counters and service was eh at best. There were about 3 tables and you can tell cleaning needed done but employees on their cell phones. We needed to call the waitress over 2 times for drink refills.

this was our first ever seafood boil, we were right next to bass pro shop so we decided to stop in for lunch. the seafood was so incredible. the old bay sauce was so good and we mixed it with the lemon garlic one. our waitress was super sweet and energetic which made the experience even better. the prices are very good as well, we will be visiting again! came from jersey and it’s delicious

Captain Krab surprisingly exceeded my expectations with their amazing food! I ordered the Shrimp (no head) & crab legs with a side of potatoes, corn, sausage, eggs, and broccoli, accompanied by hush puppies. The portion was generous enough to share. The Krab House Special Sauce, in medium, elevated the experience to new heights – it was the best crab boil I’ve ever had, bursting with flavor. The service was impeccable, with very friendly staff. The cleanliness of the space was commendable, and the prices were reasonable. Despite being from Washington DC, a visit to Harrisburg to visit family led me to Captain Krab, and I can already envision it becoming a regular spot for future visits. Highly recommended!

Food was absolutely amazing. Loved everything about it. Fast service customer service is on point couldn’t ask anything for more or more better was craving seafood all day. Caught my friend up today while I was at work and said let’s go out and go get some seafood and I looked up good recommendations and in this place came up. I knew automatically I wanted to go try. My friend said she already tried and she loved it. I wouldn’t try today. My experience was a 10 out of 10 customer service immaculate food. Great cook to perfection with flavor and fulfilled my fantasies. I will definitely be coming back to Captain crab.

Highly suggest getting the special house sauce.
