Sometimes, even though I am gluten sensitive, it’s worth it to eat some good seafood. I popped my Benadryl before I ever went inside to eat.
I got the Seafood Plattee for One. The fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, fried oysters, fried fish, fried clam strips, and the deviled crab were all amazing. I haven’t had fried seafood in a long time.
The salad bar was fresh and delicious as well! They even have radishes!!
My waitress and entire crew were all top notch! I just hate I don’t go thru here often.

My husband and I stopped here. I had eaten at other Captain Joe’s and wasn’t very impressed. But we figured we would give it a try. I’m glad we did. The food was delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean and tody. I have not one single complaint.

Great food at a great price. Very comfortable, cozy atmosphere. The people were all very friendly and provided exceptional service. We had 8 people in our group and no one had to wait for anything. I can’t speak for the other Captain Joe’s establishments, but if they’re half as good as the Jesup location, you can’t go wrong. They have an excellent soup and salad bar so be careful. If you fill up on that, you won’t have any room for the other food and that would be a crime. I strongly recommend Captain Joe’s Jesup GA location, and I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Upon entering, we were greeted by staff who were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the food was not hot at all, it looked appetizing but it was cold and not very good at all. The prices were ok but not worth the taste or quality. The cheeseburgers for my kids were overcooked and burned along with the burger buns. The pizza my youngest daughter had off the kids’ menu was extremely cold. The crinkle fries were cooked twice, and they were almost burnt. The buffet salad bar was good.

OMG! We’re so happy we stopped here. Excellent service. Fresh and delicious food. Generous portions. We ordered the seafood platter for two and everything tasted amazing. Hush puppies, onion rings, fried oysters, clam strips, fish filets, popcorn shrimp and steamed shrimp. All entrees include the soup and salad bar which is one of the best salad bars around. The soups looked amazing but we were too full to try them. We will definitely be back. Great value for your money.

This review is tough. The service was excellent and friendly. The salad bar was great. The food from the kitchen was not good. My husband and I both ordered fried fish–I had the bone-in catfish and he had the flounder. It was under seasoned, but catfish was fresh and not muddy. The flounder was overcooked, so were the hush puppies. If we go back, it’ll probably be just for the salad bar.

We traveled to Jesup yesterday and ate at Captain Joe’s Seafood for the first time. The deviled crab and sweet potato souffle was some of the best that I have eaten. Makyala was our server and did a great job.

Food was very good got there much later than I had planned about 9 pm. The food was very good. I got fried shrimp plate it came with very large salad bar and one side I chose fried pickles. Everything thing was nice. I will try to eat here again next time I am in Jesup.

I went into Joe’s expecting an average experience at an American diner level. Instead we got 5-star food and service at 3-star prices. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The host staff and the wait staff were great. Every meal comes with the soup and salad bar. Let me tell you, this is the best salad bar in the area. All you can eat cheddar biscuits. Great seafood. Everyone’s drink order came with a mini pitcher so you can refill you glass as needed. Spectacular. Oh, and desert…naner pudding right at the salad bar. All you can eat pudding. You know this is the place.
