Just went through the drive-through they asked what can they drop fresh. So I was happy that it was going to be dropped fresh because no one was in line. And then I get some hush puppies that look like they re-dropped them and had already had them cooked. They taste burnt and I work fast food so I know if food has been re-dropped in the grease. The lady at the window was nice. But the food was not.

For the first☝ time today I gave Captain ☠️Jack’s a try, and I am very sorry that I did! . The breading wasn’t all that great The skin of the chicken was very tough and the chicken itself was somewhat dry ️ just like the person who I ordered from. The only positive thing that I can possibly say is the biscuits were absolutely delicious. But I will not be back to Captain Jack’s ☠️ ever. See anywhere you go they always give you a choice you want a biscuit or do you want to roll. When you ask for two sides they ask you what two sides do you want not just give you two sides that you never asked for. There’s no give or take at this place so I will take my business elsewhere. As far as I’m concerned this is not a very customer friendly place because every customer has a different like. Not everybody likes the same type of food. Went through the drive through which took 25 minutes after ordering to get the food. Once home took a bite of the chicken that tasted like it was old and refried in old grease, you could literally squeeze grease out of the hushpuppies. I returned with my order requesting a refund for the $31. I paid for 2 combos and was told “they would not refund my money but recook it.” I explained again how the grease tasted old & we were not interested and just wanted my refund. I asked to speak to a manager. The kid working stepped in a back room and made a call to someone he called “Mike” who continued to refuse my refund. I will NEVER return or reccomend this place! Very poor customer service! Not to mention the kid taking orders from the dining room and drive through was wiping things with a dirty rag, touching the register and handling food with no gloves or washing his hands. So very disappointed.

One and done for me at this place. My chicken was raw. The “seasoning” seemed like a super salty ranch that the cap fell off. Would’ve been less salty if I just poured salt in my mouth. These positive reviews must be employees, friends or relatives because this place is trash. They did offer to replace our meal, but they can keep this garbage. Do yourself a favor and eat literally anything else. Absolutely disgusting.

I got a fish sandwich that was good. Better than some other fast food but not by a lot. The fries were fine. It came with a roll that was just a roll and some coke slaw that was similar but worse than KFC.
The problem here is the wait. I think there may have only been one worker doing everything. He was running around, away from the window, working and taking orders and getting mine simultaneously. It was a solid 20 minute wait (probably lead to the fries being just ok). Price was almost $12 which isn’t bad but I feel like for $15 I could go to a sit down and get a mich better fish sandwich. And less wait.

A World of Relaxation
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was very clean I appreciate that. I saw the manager or maybe he was the owner help two guy that look to be on hard times. Sometimes I noticed people in establishment treating those customers “less than” but greeted them with respect and I that counted for a lot for me. Long story short I will be coming down this way more often

Some people go to church. I go to Captain Jays. My life is just a series of valleys separated by the peaks that are experiencing Captain Jay’s food. I’m not sure how they can serve food so fast and so hot. I come here a couple times a month and I’ve legitimately never had a single issue.

The customer service was good, I must commend the staff of their positive attitude working under pressure. It was very busy when I went, I did an pick up order, which took an hour from the time I placed the order from the time I received my food. They sell Pepsi products, good dessert menu and also a clean dining area. Food was hot and good I will be returning

These are their “jumbo” shrimp. 15 of them for $20.00. These are like 50-1 shrimp. They are not jumbo shrimp. You can get a pound of shrimp from Happys and you will get around 20 shrimp that are much larger for the same price.
I would hate to see what their “normal” size shrimp are.
Drive thru wait was around 10 minutes for 3 cars total.

I have given this place plenty of opportunities to prove that they are great. The first time I ever visited here is around when they first open. The wait times were a little long, but it was totally worth it because the food was awesome!
However, the last couple of times I have ordered from here, it has been nothing but a nightmare. 20+ minute wait times when there’s barely anybody in line, completely missing items (literally the last 3 times I was went), and bland under seasoned food. Why I kept coming back even after all that? I guess I really just wanted the same food I had the first time because again, it really was AWESOME.
However, the nail in the coffin is when my fiancee stopped by there on her way home from work and got cod. Mind you she never really eats fish all too much so she’s not familiar with it. When she brought her food into the house and opened it, it smelled so foul. She was under the impression that cod was a little smelly like salmon and could not fully smell it to the full extent while it was packaged and in a bag. If I wouldn’t have said anything she more than likely would’ve ate it. However, I doubt she would’ve been able to because it would have tasted awful. It seriously smelt rancid.
How this went over the employees head and they thought it was okay to serve that is crazy to me. It’s obvious that they are serving bad food, which is going to end up making somebody sick or worse, kill somebody. This place will never get a dime of my money again, which honestly, I am pretty upset about because I really did enjoy their food at first.
Hopefully whoever owns this restaurant can really take a look at their management and staff and make this place as good as it was when it first opened.
