I love their wings omg! I ask for light seasoning and their fries are crispy on outside and soft in the middle. Their fried shrimp is good but was overcooked once. But overall I love them! I’ve gone three times in one week haha their fish is good as well but I love the wings. I love their mild sauce and hook sauce as well

Utterly disgusting and disgusted! I should have went for sushi instead. The gizzards are clearly overcooked and I know the person who made this saw this before bagging it up.
I actually raved to people about how good Captain Hooks was! Now I wouldn’t send my worst enemy! After working 10 hours I wanted a quick bite..but got bitten by burnt gizzards and looks like twice fried fries! I won’t be going back and I’ll spread the word to my associates not to either! This wasn’t even edible! All you can taste is burnt seasoning! I’m more than pissed!!

I purchased 3 plates Monday night. The tenders were totally burnt. The wing plate was fine. The service here is normally good when the owner is in. However, I just wanted to bring awareness since I was told nothing could be done. Accountability would’ve been great. Just remember customer service goes a long way.

Not impressed. Saw this place on IG. Everything was cold by the time we got it and drove home (10 mins max). No flavor. My boyfriend liked the wings, but everything else was just not good. The coleslaw taste like fish, awful aftertaste. Shrimp was flimsy. Okra was abundant, but again, not seasoned. There was only one of each sauce even though we ordered 2 plates and multiple sides.

I paid $90 for a family platter of catfish and fries, with hush puppies and sodas added, and the fries were completely missing from my order. As soon as I noticed, I contacted Uber, and they told me I had to reach out to the restaurant directly due to their no-refund policy.
When I called the restaurant, I was transferred to someone who showed zero customer service. There was no apology, no concern, and I was simply told to “call Uber.” I explained that I already did and that Uber specifically instructed me to contact the restaurant based on their policy, but it didn’t matter.
I’ve usually had great experiences here, which makes this even more disappointing. The lack of accountability, care, and basic customer service was unacceptable, especially for a $90 order. Because of this experience, I will not be returning.

1st visit with my best friend who’s from Chi town, and they got the seal of approval. Love my chicken crispy, and this was great. The wings didn’t stand a chance. Also got fish, fried mushrooms, oysters, and pizza puffs. Ask for the white lemon pepper seasoning, it’s on point.

Super glad that I finally decided to give this place a try after seeing up show up many times on my feed. Robbie is a super cool dude and very friendly with customers. Also appreciated him giving me recommendations on what foods to try! Honestly, nothing on the menu is bad and all for a really great price! Will definitely be back to try more!

Captain Hook’s fried chicken is hands down the best chicken in Katy. His seasoning which he refers to as a “lemon pepper” is addictive. It’s not overwhelming on the lemon side or the pepper but retains a perfect balance. Pairing it with the light batter, giving it a heavenly crunch, and the juicy, succulent wings in absolutely divine. I’ve had no better meat of this sort in my mouth. His catfish is always fresh and flaky. His hush puppies always hit the spot. He even has a homemade lemonade that is so refreshing I wouldn’t mind drowning to death in it. He also doesn’t make it until you order it. I consistently eat here weekly and he’s never gotten my order wrong, which I can’t say about any other restaurant I’ve ever been to more than once.

I ordered through stemless . My food was discusting . Not only was it stale the chicken wings but my food was literally covered with just a foil and left on the floor in my front door. Not even a plastic bag . Absolutely unprofessional and dirty . I asked for lemon pepper seasoning and I don’t taste crap . Just horrible . I’ll be sure to tell everyone about this place as i work for a big nearby company . DONT COME HERE!
