At our Hartsville, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Food is great, prices are good, but most of apl the service from the associates are wonderful. I come to the one in Hartsville SC 3-4 times a week. Love this place.!! Came in today for lunch. Very fast paced service. Love it that we have a place to go, instead of eating hamburgers all the time.

Mmmm…Not very good. If you eat the fried food you’ll appreciate it way more than if you get a different option. The lobster in the lobster roll is imitation crab/ imitation lobster meat… Hence the $3 price tag. The steamed tilapia platter is under seasoned… Shrimp skewers are salty … Just don’t attempt unless you want batter fried fish fillets.

Food good. BUT right at $9 for a 3 piece, and didn’t even get a drink. NOPE!! Way over priced. Drive thru is VERY slow.
Have now been twice. Will NOT be a third time. Just to slow at drive thru and way way over priced.
I was excited to see coming to Hartsville but now I will spend that same $9 and go to Shoney’s and get buffet WITH a drink. OR go spend $10 and get 2 Woppers with fries and drink.

Hartsville’s Captain D’s Restaurant is one word AWESOME! Great food, atmosphere, staff, clean. Again, GREAT FOOD. We go about once a week.
Try the balckened talapia or grilled salmon. Served over a bed of rice with baked potato and slaw with hush puppies. UMM.

A “fast food” restaurant that also doubles as a “sit-down restaurant”. The family table was impressive, GREAT food, and excellent customer service. Having a real plate and utensils was a big surprise. Thanks!!

I have gotten broiled food there before.
Now I have been.by there twice and tried.ro order broiled food and was told they did not have that. What kind of seafood place doesn’t have any broiled food. Maybe it needs to cloae.
