At our Kansas City, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

First time here today decided to stop by since I was in the area and I’m glad I did! The staff were friendly and the food came out fresh and hot! I got the Garlic Butter Shrimp and fish and it was 10/10 for being fast food. I like that they didn’t get mad when I asked for extra sauce, most places do lol definitely going to be returning.

First time at Captain D’s in Kansas City Missouri. The people who worked the front order desk were very friendly and kind – Stella and Kevin. They helped us with any questions we had, we put our order in and sat down. Within 10 minutes our food arrived hot and fresh and DELICIOUS! The restaurant was clean and organized and everything on the condiment table was neat and in order. I would recommend this 68th St., Kansas City location of Captain D’s.

I would first like to thank the cashier on duty this evening for her kind disposition and going above and beyond. I go to this location mostly because the food is always deliciously fresh, nothing is ever missing from the order, and last but definitely not least the customer service. I mention that I would need lots of cocktail sauce, and instead of giving me a few of the tiny packages of sauce, I was given a nice size tub. I did not request that and I thought that was awesome. Try the fried clam strips, an absolute game changer!! Thank you all for the wonderful service!

I had a coupon for a giant fish sandwich so I thought I’d go through the drive thru on my way to work. Oh my goodness! I was not prepared for the sandwich that was in my box. It actually was a good size and delicious. You should definitely try one.

8/7/25 APX 8:30…I ordered a very large order!!! I was so very happy !! Everything was perfect.fresh .got.ready to go before I was!!! Thinking the man who gave ( made ) order was super nice and did a great job maybe manager if not should be!!! I never order and places get right.because I usually have a large order wherever.so when deserved…I commend to the fullest. !! Nice for people to know!! Thanks
