At our House Springs, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The batter on the batter dipped fish is almost always too thick and raw. The fish has a strong fishy odor. Sometimes it’s really good, but it’s usually gross fish at this location specifically. Especially with the afternoon crew. I won’t go at all after shift change, but this time we went at close to 1 pm.
When this same thing happened before on a different date, I just wanted a refund. The counter girl said they don’t do refunds and got on the phone to call corporate or something but was on hold for a few minutes. She said she would take care of it and we didn’t have to wait. Well she didn’t.
So, I don’t trust this location or the reviews for the food and staff. It doesn’t make sense that there are so many positive reviews for this location but the food almost always has raw doughy stinky fish.
And I was never rude to anyone. I’m very nice and have never written a bad review on anywhere before. But some of these workers don’t meet the standards that were set for them.

Absolutely phenomenal service honestly couldn’t have asked for better from the ladies working here today. The foor was hot fresh and fast which is very rare. This crew working today has earned this 5 star review all the way and either their franchise owner or corporate should recognize them for how polite and completely genuine the staff is here

Great stop for lunch with my grandma and my daughter for our girls day out. Food was hot and good, service was fast and friendly and the restaurant was clean. My daughter loves the strawberry cheesecake and this is one of my grandmas favorite lunch spots, I’ll be bringing her back on our next girls day.

Literally, the best fast food in House Spring. Amazing hospitality. Extremely accommodating. If I had cash on me I would have left tip. Shari (I hope Im spelling the name correctly lol) was extremely welcoming and polite. Thank you for the clean atmosphere 🙂
