At our Richmond, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We let the blinds down because the sun was so bright. Out crawled a roach. I am certain it was a roach as we took a Pic too. I went to the front. Workers didnt seem surprised, just said they’d give a refund back to our card. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

Haven’t been here in a long time , plans to get the grilled fish , but my carb mind went for the platter . It was fry overload !
Everything was good , except one piece of fish was solid gray …hoping the second was better , it was . Must have had a bad piece .
The stuffed crab , tasted like spiced stuffing , no hint of crab .
The green beans , were extremely salty .
Cole slaw , was good !
And the one piece of fish , was good as well .
If you like fast , fried food , this is the place !

We ordered online. I picked it up in the drive through, which was a long wait.
Got up to the window. The bag was tied shut double knot. It I asked if they put the sauces in the bag, tartar cocktail and sweet-and-sour sauce. She reassured me. She double checked it and put it in there. Herself I get home and there was literally only cocktail sauce and some dipping sauce. That they have now. The chicken was overcooked and had a bad taste to it like old grease. The fries were cold to the touch and soggy. The only thing that was decent was the fish and the Mac and cheese and Hush Puppies.

Fish was hot and fresh , delicious. Shrimp was also hot and freshly cooked and as always the sides are always good.

Really like eating here in the evening during the week. The fish is always hot when served. The fries not so much, very undercooked and always cold even out of the fryer. This place is typically always busy but for good reason because the fish has meat and not a lot of breading like ljs. Stress evenings are the best time to eat here.

We eat at this place once a week and so does our friends from church for the price. The food is excellent you can’t complain. You can’t get a meal anywhere else for this price. The service is fast and the people behind the counter are very kind.
