At our Paris, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Very friendly staff. The food was delicious, Hot and fresh, served table side quickly. The restaurant itself is pretty chill but other than the temperature of the dinning area it was an over all good experience. Big rig friendly back parking area.

The staff was friendly, the shrimp and fries were great, the fish was crispy and hot but unfortunately they had a pocket of raw fish inside, inedible…picture attached. Also asked for tartar sauce but given cocktail sauce. Wish I could give it a higher score but you can’t serve raw fish that’s dangerous.

2. Half of my fries were good but half were small bits and pieces that were to hard to eat. I had ordered my two sides to be fries.
3. Pick up window board was only partially painted with bare wood. Windows were dingy around edges.

Ordered seafood feast plus the extra shrimp.Corn on the cob and coleslaw as sides.(Walk in, take out) didn’t wait very long.Staff were very polite. They showed me my order before putting it in sacks and even helped me out by opening the doors for me (my hands were full with all the food). Food was delicious.
I need to get back and try the lobster roll and gumbo. Along with pecan pie looked wonderful.

I have been back a few times. Food has been hot and good everytime.
Drive thru and inside ordered. Order was always right.
Love the Gumbo.

I had the popcorn shrimp and steamed broccoli it was very good, popcorn shrimp was crispy and delicious and broccoli was tender and I also liked the cocktail sauce was so yummy!

One main girl behind the counter had a bad attitude. Big big girl, glasses, butch hair. No matter how much I smiled ,she didn’t, nor how much I said thank you, she didn’t. The only thing she said was “, have a blessed day as I left.” She even brought me my food & no word.
The food was good but not a good deal. The coleslaw was great but too small even though I ordered extra. I tried…… a let down.

I have always enjoyed the food but today was not a pleasant dining experience . A couple came in and spilt their drink . The person went and asked for assistance and no one came. I helped clean up the mess on the table and finally a young g man came with the mop and a scowl on his face . He did clean the floor . My food was cold and the hush puppies were hard . I won’t be going back. The service was good but that was the only part. Another customer complained about how long the wait was and the server said she wasn’t too thrilled with the kitchen personnel.

Everything was good except the batter on the chicken. I don’t know when this changed but nobody ever batters chicken with cornmeal. Yuck go back to the old recipe, please.
