At our Memphis, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
I went through the drive through at 1690 Union Avenue and was very disappointed once I made it home. Normally, I order a 4pc fish, double okra & breadstick. I don’t deviate unless it’s just for the okra. This location is not a regular for me but I was in the area. I ordered a large okra only. I paid and I waited longer than the norm. Then I was asked to pull up to the grey door where I waited another 10-12mins. The cashier brung out my bag and I left. Once I got home and looked, the amount that was given was way less than what it should’ve been. I was mad because the container wasn’t even filled up. For the price, I may as well bought a meal. I paid with tax, $7.01 for an amount of okra that I was able to pour into my hand. That was ridiculous. Captain D’s, please DO BETTER!

The order was ready when my husband and I arrived. I got a baked potato. The temperature of the food was hot. The ice tea was sweetened correctly. I was envious of my husbands chocolate cheesecake, since my dessert was my ice tea.

I had a delivery from there, the food was okay but cold by the time we got it as kept being delayed. They didn’t send all the condiments I requested and they’ve done this before!! Have been eating there for years and love their fish, cole slaw and green beans. They put bacon in beans so have a good flavor and they’re tender.

Food was not good. Paid $14. Chicken was not done. Batter was falling off the chicken. Hush puppies were still doughy inside. The pop and fries were the best pary of the meal.

I stopped in for dinner, normally I would grab the Giant Fish Sandwich and a slice of Key Lime Pie. But the drive thru was empty, so I thought about trying a dinner plate. Sorry I forgot to snap 1st this time. The sandwich was huge. It had little to no spicy flavor. It was freshly cooked, too much tarter sauce and batter for my liking. If it’s available on their country fried fish, I’d be willing to give it a shot. This one is a no fore me. The green beans where good as usual.

The Captain D’s location is on point. The parking lot was clean, the restaurant looked clean the food was hot and fresh!!!! And the young man name Eric at the drive through was professional, in uniform and most of all customer service friendly!!!

The food was good although the portions were very small… It’s okay… However the dining area was by far one of the dirtiest dining areas I’ve ever seen in a Captain D’s in all my life… There is literally trash everywhere tables were dirty the entire time we were there nobody ever bothered to come and clean the lobby area at all. We got out on our own tissues and wipes to clean off a table so that we could sit at it… Even the salt and pepper shakers on some of the tables are dirty. The dining area looks nice since it’s been updated but nobody is keeping it clean.
