At our Morristown, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

You know we really like captain D’s but this was my second time going around 6-630 that they are completely out of things like corn, hushpuppies, fries and chicken. I cannot understand why this restaurant can just run out of food before dinner time and the workers will not cook more if they are out. The manager has been very rude to our faces in the drivethru many times, messes up orders and then cussing because we’ve noticed and wanted the correct food, but ” we were lying because she made it herself” very disappointed in Captain D’s.

I’ve never liked hush puppies in my life lol but these by far are the best I’ve had. They fish is flaky and cooked to perfection and I love having a healthy option to have it grilled. I like to healthy option for sides as well (broccoli). Eaten here three times this week lol it’s that good.

They have decent food. Not as good as their competitor but I would eat there again. This location is clean and the employees are friendly. The price is reasonable and comparable to others. The fish was fried a little hard but overall a decent meal for the price.

Great combo meals $4.99 & $7.99 . fish ,shrimp,hushpuppies,bake potato ,and a drink. Also okra.Was awesome everything was perfect. Except one thing an older lady was rude about a drink my bother in law ordered (water ) and warned him not to get a soda in the clear cup it’s for water only. Gotta be kinda me.but of course some people can’t see the so called blue button for water which needs to be bigger to see lol. Plus he had replied he would pay for it but still rude lady .it’s how she didn’t was not accepted. Needless to say I will not return to this establishment until she’s gone. I didn’t feel comfortable and unwanted here.

Pretty good seafood. Fish was good and crispy. Sides were also good. Not a fan of half the sides being deemed as “premium” with a price increase. Better than LJS with more variety and side choices.

The food was pretty ok.the customerservice on the other hand was absolutely dreadful. It took ages to get our meals, they were out of chicken, and we payed for a meal we didn’t even get. The atmosphere was also just ok. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Never coming here again

Drive thru does not listen or give condiments as requested, when I called to let manager know, I did not receive sauce as I requested, all she said was ok, we will let the cashier know. Smh.. was spoke to like they thought I was trying to get a free meal. Almost 17 dollars for my meal. Smh..I will not eat there again unless I go in. Shame on them.

Husband’s fries cold and soft, fried shrimp different flavor..he gave meal a 1. My baked fish and broccoli very good. Atmosphere not great, bathrooms messy and everything in dining room looked tired. First and last time here. I can go to Cheddars for a few bucks more and we can both enjoy with good atmosphere.
