At our Hermitage, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Usually great food. This time, fish was raw, crispy on outside pink and rubbery on the inside. Either hot wasnt hot enough or fryer was in a hurry. Do better Capt Ds !!!!

We had a really pleasant experience overall The receptionist, Desiree, was incredibly cheerful, kind, and very helpful from the moment we arrived. She even brought our meal to us, which was a nice personal touch and made us feel very welcome. The décor of the place is beautiful and cozy, and the music playing in the background created such an uplifting and relaxing atmosphere ✨
I was also very happy to see that oysters are back on the menu That definitely made the visit even better! We truly enjoyed our entire meal and everything tasted great. The only small disappointment was the tartar sauce. I remember it being thicker and creamier before, but now it seems a bit more watered down. Still, the overall experience was lovely and we had a great time! ️

I ordered fish on uber tonight. I called capt d about. 8 40 tonight and asked them to please send 4 tarter sauce. No tarter sauce and food tasted like rubber. The uber was right on time so they can’t blame her.

I’ve been going to Captain D’s for 30+ years. This location by far was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a fast food restaurant. Hot food, cold col
e slaw,hush puppies were tasty and the crabs were awesome. The shrimp were fresh and hot and they gave me adequate amounts of ketchup and tartar sauce. If you have time, stop in and enjoy a fast food version of a seafood restaurant. Be sure to try the Deluxe Seafood Platter… there’s a little bit of everything on it!

The sweet, positive manager (whose name escapes me! Tinted hair) of this location deserves all the accolades, raises & rewards, Insurance! this company/ franchaise has to to offer. She treats her guests & employees like family. *lots of regulars. I’m sure she spearheads the year round holiday decor & special attention to our vets.
As someone who spent their entire career in the food & bev industry, I’m know employees like her aren’t easy to come by.
And I’m sure she’s hired some equally commited employees of her own.
Take care of her & you’ve got an grade A employee for life & a clan she created to keep it going.

Desiree the receptionist was cheerful, kind and helpful and brought us our meal. The decor is lovely and the music uplifting. I’m so glad oysters are back! We loved our entire meal. The one thing that disappointed was the change in the tartar sauce. I used to love it’s creamy texture but now it is watered down.
