At our Clarksville, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I doordash, today my customer asked for extra tartar sauce. The woman working, when I asked her to get some, was incredibly rude. She stated that there are no extras, there’s plenty in the bag. I was polite and she was incredibly rude. If you cannot be polite, don’t work in customer service.

I got the Deluxe platter with add-on shrimp and stuffed crab. The service was quick, professional, polite and accurate. The shrimp, fish, stuffed crab shells and okra were very good. My only complaint was the green beans and hushpuppies were subpar. I kinda feel the recipe was the problem not the actual prep.

Solid Fast Food fish. Wife and I and our 2 kids stopped at Captain D’s on Wilma Rudolph Blvd for a quick bite for dinner. Was not disappointed. Has probably been 20 years since I’ve been to the D’s, and I will not wait that long again. Cole slaw is a must, as is the Sweet Tea. Reminded me slightly of Ivar’s, if you’ve been to the PNW, but light years beyond a Long John Silver’s dinner.

I had a decent experience here. I can only speak from the perspective of going through the drive-through. I only wanted the fried okra which I was surprised they served. I don’t eat a whole lot of fish so I can’t speak to the taste of those items. I can say that the fried okra is very good. Not homemade good, but good overall. I will definitely be going back for more okra in the future.

I love going to this location, my food is always fresh & I always receive exactly what I order. The staff is always so welcoming & I really appreciate that. My only concern now is the fish tasting like chicken & this is the second time, I thought maybe the first time I received the wrong order but I just went again yesterday & got home, the fish definitely tastes like chicken now, texture and all. The staff opened my Togo box to verify my fish order and the outside looks just like the fish that I’ve seen for years. I will try one last time and if it hasn’t changed by then, I will not be returning.

When I got to the Captain D’s on Wilma Rudolph, my order was quickly taken and the gentleman taking orders was extremely polite. And even though there were 4 cars ahead of me I only waited 12 minutes for the young man to get through the entire que of cars. I’m extremely impressed with his quick and polite service.
