At our Selma, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We had a group of 8, and these people at this Captain D’s did a fabulous job getting our order right and fast! I can’t say enough of how nice and helpful the entire crew was with getting our lunch! The food came out fast, hot, and delicious! We were meeting in Selma because it was a halfway point between where we live, and the lunch here allowed us to sit down for a while and catch up with each other. Thanks again to this Selma Captain D’s crew!

Captain D’S in Selma Alabama portion sizes has been cut back so bad but the prices have increased. The food was ok tho. I was still hungry after I ate it. I had the grilled salmon.

Purchased the spicy fish combo at the Selma Captain D’s and NOTHING, and I do mean NOTHING was good about the combo. The fish was dry as if it was fried to long and usually you get 2 pieces of fish in the plate, but there was only 1 piece of fish. I added an extra piece of fish @$2.59, I could have gotten another combo plate for a few dollars more. These restaurants are price gouging their customers and not giving them the quality or quantity that they pay for. They don’t deserve a rating except all thumbs down rating!!!
