At our Columbus, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

So, I ordered a fish and shrimp with two sides on 12/16/25 around 6:30 p.m.. I’m charged for the meal and I get home no shrimp. I call the phone is busy. The cashier checked the box and bagged the meal so she knew there weren’t any shrimp. The cook plated the meal so he/she knew there weren’t any shrimp. I normally check my bag because Captain D’s cooks have this bad everywhere. Can you all make this service stop please!! Fast food is not cheap; the least that can be done is get the order right.

Food was good. People working there were great. Last few times I have been here the ceiling tiles, frame work and registers are rusty and nasty. The whole ceiling needs replacing. Whoever owns this stores needs get off their wallet and but and fix this. Lastly the bathrooms could use some loving also. That’s why for only 3 stars.

I ordered the double crab deal. Not a sliver of imitation or real crab on the tray.
It came with 2 stuffed crab shell, 2 crab cake, fries, 2 hush puppies and coleslaw. Only thing that taste good were the hush puppies and condiments. The stuffed crab shell was mush, crab cakes were crispy on the outside but mush texture on the inside. Coleslaw and fries were room temperature.

Fire everyone on night shift. Knock it down and rebuild it and restart. No one wants to work and they “won’t cook anymore food” even though they close at 10p. They literally told me they weren’t cooking anymore food when they had everything in stock. No shrimp skewers. No potatoes. Only one spicy fish. Then I STILL got the wrong order. Is fast food that hard since I’ve been out of it??! This location use to be so much better but it’s even further in the trash as it was 5 years ago, but what did I expect from the southside.

Greated with a happy face. Latora took my order. Friendly and thankful. Ordered Deluxe Seafood Platter and shrimp. One thing your not gonna get is cold food. It’s right out of the fryer burn your face off hot. Shrimp are small. Size of a nickel. Do better.

Today me and my sister visited the Victory Drive location in Columbus Georgia at about 5:20 pm and ordered a Deluxe Seafood Platter, Kids Meal, and Cheesecake. The cashier’s attitude was so nasty I would hate if it was a blind person as we couldn’t see the menu and each time we asked she continuously said look at the menu until we were finally able to tell it out ourselves. Also when I asked for vinegar I was told to get it out of the dining room. At this point, I asked for a manager. While talking to the manager, the cashier was on drive-thru eating. The manager said she was new and didn’t know that they had condiments behind the counter. Then after, my sister believed she had lost her card but ended up finding it. I asked for a receipt numerous of times and was finally told that the machine had been down for quite some time and could not print receipts. I’m not sure if I was charged the right amount either. The overall experience was horrible being that I am a former employee and know that this type of behavior is not tolerated and should not be displayed to customer as I don’t think I ever want to return to be provoked into behavior that is not my character with such rudeness and disrespect!

I went to this restaurant yesterday and a lady name Tiffany took my order…idk who the cook was but she left the window and went next door to pick up food they ordered from another place…so we had to call Captain D’s to talk to another employee to get my order and to let them know that we was still at the pick up window for our order since we have been sitting there for awhile…. Hoonnneeeyyyy, when I got my food and tasted it when I got home….which I was hungry and ready to eat and looked delicious….my shrimp screwers was dry as hell with no juices or butter from the shrimp nothing but blackened seasoning just on top, and my rice wasn’t done….. I think they did that on purpose because we called the restaurant on the lady that left the window…..
