At our Claxton, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Ordered Family Sampler, no chicken strips and no shrimp. Got home and realized we were missing items. No one answers the phone at this location. They provided an ENTIRE bag, literally, of tarter sauce and malt vinegar. Had to make a second trip to get it right. We will see how that works out, in progress now!!

10pcs and (2) 3pc fish orders. Total paid was $41.98. EVERY pcs of fish was uncooked with raw runny batter. Which means the fish was uncooked as well. AVOID!!!!! Salmonella! If I could give a zero I would!

Fish fried too hard and it was salty. Asked for ketchup. I was told, “It’s in the bag”. It wasn’t. Drink dripping down the side of the cup. I ask for a napkin. I’m told, “it’s only in the utensil wrap”. I see paper towels on a wall. I asked can I have one (to catch the dripping soda). I’m given one.

Food was amazing. Everything was in the bag that was requested. Gentleman was very kind. The only issue was the cheesecake did not taste very fresh. I would much rather the cheesecake being stale than the meals.

Over all good experience , but what was worth the 5 star review was the Cashier named Sarah she was courteous light genuinely nice! She manned the drive-thru and the dining room all while checking out the dining room customers. She brought our food to us with a smile! And when a customer acted kind of rude she didn’t seemed bothered and handed it with a smile. I watched her clean the dining room open the door for a handicap customer ! I was only there for 30 mins and I witnessed her pretty much run the whole restaurant. I asked if she was the manager she smiled and said no. Well, I believe she will be a manager soon!!!

I didn’t give it 5 stars because we didn’t dine in and I was unsure of the atmosphere inside.
The food was good (for fast seafood) and the service was great. The employee we spoke with at the drive-tbru was very friendly, courteous, and helpful.

Since they’ve opened in Claxton, GA I’ve ordered from them 3-4 times and everything that I’ve ordered was delicious!!! I haven’t been inside of this location yet just ordered through drive thru or door dash but from that experience alone all of my orders were correct and in my opinion the price wasn’t expensive either.

I received an email from Captain D’s guest relations and they apologized and made things right. We did go there before my problem was fixed but after this review and did not have any issues with our meals at that time. They were taking a little longer in the drive thru that day but no complaints. I don’t mind a little longer if my order is right.
My wife picked up Captain D’s 12-18-23. 2 fish and shrimp meals. The more expensive 10.99 ones. Apparently you have to check inside the food container before you pull away from the window. She got home and there were no shrimp in either of the meals.
This isn’t the first time this has happened but it will be the last.
I already sent an email to Trident holdings which is where their Facebook page directs you, now I’m sending something directly to Captain D’s. This is unacceptable.
