At our 5343 Old National Highway, Atlanta location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I recently visited this express location and ordered the supreme sampler, which included fish, chicken, shrimp, fries, and coleslaw, along with a strawberry milkshake. I also got a fish sandwich. Overall, the food was very good. Despite this being an express location, which sometimes means they don’t have all the menu items available, my experience has generally been positive.
This visit marked my third time at this location, and I’ve found that as long as the food is hot and fresh, which it usually is, it’s a satisfying experience. The supreme sampler was delicious, with each component cooked well. The fish, chicken, and shrimp were particularly tasty, and the sides complemented the meal nicely. The strawberry milkshake was a delightful addition, creamy and flavorful.
One of the standout aspects of this location is the customer service. The drive-thru service was efficient and friendly, which made the overall experience pleasant. The staff provided great service with a friendly touch, ensuring that I felt welcome and taken care of.
In conclusion, I will definitely be returning to this express location. Despite the occasional lack of menu items, the combination of good food and excellent customer service makes it a worthwhile visit.

The food was decent. I like the way the fish and okra was fried. I don’t like the batter the shrimps are cooked in. The food was hot the prices were reasonable. My kid had the chicken fingers and fries we both had the half and half ice tea lemonade. The service was awesome with no long wait. Will definitely do it again.

I went back and recieved the best service from Sam and Demetria very respectful and made sure everything was right please give them a raise they deserve it so because of these 2 I’ll return when they’re at the location so 5/5 to those great employees check out the updated pictures

Got takeout at this location today as I have several times within the past year. The service has always been just fine but the food, not so much. Too many times there has been excessive pieces of fish batter in the container, only a piece of a chicken tender, and what looked like 2 teaspoons of cole slaw .Today the chicken tenders were whole, the portion of cole slaw a bit more satisfactory and the food was tasty and presentable. Will continue to patronize this location.

BE AWARE THEY SHUT DOWN AT 9:30pm EVEN THOUGH CLOSING TIME IS 10pm.
It’s sad that online your closing time says 10pm but when I got there at 9:30pm I’m told I can’t order any food because the cook has turned off the fryer. So unprofessional and a waste of my time.

Went and got a 2 piece of fish and fries. Ordered a side of coleslaw…waited 10 mons for my order…only to get home…and the freaking Cole slaw @2.99 is not in my bag! I don’t have a bucks to waste…captain d fix it now.

I literally just paid almost $14 for a 2 piece catfish dinner. My issue is that the two pieces were so small that they were almost nuggets. On top of that they were cold. My Mac and cheese was also cold. The coleslaw was warm and appeared to be soggy and old. The soda had no fizz. My hushpuppies was the best part of the meal. I predicted they will be out of business in a year or less. You have better options on the same street.
