At our Carrollton, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

She went out of her way to help me with the app and rewards all while dealing with only 1 register and so many other customers online, in the restaurant and drive thru. Our food was hot, delicious, and fresh! We had an amazing experience big shoutout to the cooks and the ladies up front for their great service. Also, a special thank you to Jeremy, who came to our table to check on us and make sure everything was perfect. It definitely was! This location in particular, but the chain as a whole has really gone downhill. This location used to be one of the best. Our recent visit was very disappointing.
Baked potato was not fully cooked. “Blackened” fish and shrimp had very little if any seasoning. Steamed broccoli was cold. Lobster bites were a tiny portion.
Small drinks were $3.29 EACH!! And the only diet soft drink option was out of service. So you’re paying $3.29 for unsweetened tea…
Two people to have a meal was almost $40. You can eat at much nicer places for the same or just a tad more.
The general condition of the interior of the restaurant needs some attention, seemed very run down.
We were told that Corporate had made the decision to remove the sauce pumps. Not better in my opinion. Seems to create lots of unnecessary waste.

It was so disgusting I plan on going back tomorrow and asking for a refund. The portions were sad considering the price. It was close to closing and I believe they just gave us what they had left and it really didn’t even make up to what we ordered it was disgusting if they did cook it they cooked it so fast it was not even done. It was still White not brown at all. Don’t go there if it’s close to closing.

Laura and Tabitha. And Haylee and Angelica are the most talented and nice people shout out to the cooks for trying so hard to prepare our food Dexter. Tyrese. And other more cooks in there they are good. The food is delicious and hot and it’s also a great place to sit down and just listen to the music and try their cheese cakes there delicious shout out to Brook too

Food and service was great! Would have given a 5! They seemed short staffed, just felt like they could have communicated that they would be with us shortly and apologized for being short staffed. I say this nicely because I have worked in fast food for over 20 years and apologizing goes a long way and making the eye contact goes a long way.
No one was rude and our food was great and they were busy, and my boyfriend and I are patient so no fussing from us just giving the rating as I love to give ratings so things are stated and not left unknown.
Love Captain D’s and it had been a long time since we had both had it so it was a pleasant date for us!

Waited in the drive thru for over 30 minutes and wasn’t but 2 cars in front of us! They wasn’t even that busy! When I got up to the window to pay, I sat there 13 minutes! So the total time setting was little over 30 minutes! This is unexceptable! Then the lady was rude, so I ask her if they had to go fishing and got the window slammed won’t be back no time soon!

Excellent visit, as always. Started out a bit on the bad side as it took a moment to be greeted and our order taken. But it kept getting better. The food was hot and freshly cooked. The tea was just made. Two different employees at different times apologized for the wait. We visit this store quite frequently and the service and food is usually excellent. They were having a bad moment, but they really made up for it.

This is what I received for a prior order of burned chicken. Two back to back orders of burned chicken. And the portion size of popcorn shrimp is smaller than the kid’s meal portion. The kitchen staff is struggling at this location.

06/09/24 Had a very positive experience at this location today. Our food was good. We had the family sampler and added an additional order of butterfly shrimp and chicken tenders. The drive thru line was very busy but I don’t mind waiting when the food is good.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant 100 of times and today everything was horrible. The first seemed like it was cooked in burnt grease. As a business owner myself and how many times I’ve eaten there i can only assume that you have hired poor management. Do better.
