At our Marietta, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Placed a mobile order at this location so I could have dinner after my long day at work. When I arrived, the time was around 7:45 p.m. It was a Wednesday. I didn’t see anyone else there but me. Thought they were closed at first until other customers began pulling up.
Once my order was ready for pick up, I headed inside. There were two people in the kitchen and two front counter employees. They came around after a few minutes of me loitering around the waiting area. The food I received was fresh and hot. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. Offered various items and informed me of how everything was packaged. My order was accurate and fresh and the customer service was great!
Overall a great experience at this particular location.

The fish was great, but the fries were cold and they didn’t send any butter for the corn. I also specifically called the store to ask for extra malt vinager and tarter sauce but they were out of tarter sauce because of the Ice storm as I can understand but they still didn’t send the malt vinager.. Just pretty disappointed that I made an extra effort to call the store and ask for something specific and still didn’t get what I asked for..

Had a great time at captain D’s. The seafood sharing platter for family is huge. We love the fried fish especially the batter which was golden brown and crispy and also the fish which was amazingly fresh and juicy. We also love the fried butterfly prawn. The grilled fish selection is wide too where we choose the grilled tilapia fish. Lastly we like the service level. Attentive, polite and prompt.

After years of seeing memes on the internet such as: who goes to captain d’s? Who’s keeping them in business? Etc. I decided to try it myself. The food was actually quite good. The seafood platter was actually very good. And I’m pleasantly surprised.

Complete waste of nine dollars the lobster bites weren’t that bad but I could tell they probably weren’t lobster at all. The catfish was the only decent thing except for the breading was nasty. The shrimp was dry and flavorless. The fries were cold and stale. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place. I regret even wanting to try it.

Ordered the 4 piece battered fish dinner with side of fries and green beans with add ons jalapeño poppers and 5 shrimps.
The 4 pieces of fish was cold and the batter was too hard at spots, the fries were old stale and hard . The green beans were actually alright the hush push puppies were good and the shrimp was good. The service was okay the restaurant was clean and nicely appointed.
My first time coming and since this was the poorest quality of food of any Captain Ds I’ve dine in I do not think I’ll be back to this location.

I hope you’re ready?? FOR NOTHING! That’s exactly what you’re gonna get when you come here. The workers are nice but the portion and how badly the food is done sometimes, it’s just unacceptable. Tell me what you saved by filling my drink like this? I’m done with this place.

There was a parasite in my fish from “catfish kitchen”, aka, Captain D’s. Portions were not worth the cost, and the fish was salty. It did NOT taste like catfish. The only thing I’ll give a good review is the hush puppies.
