At our Goose Creek, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Ordered on the app, pulled into the drive thru at my scheduled time and was told it’s not ready so my best bet was to come inside. So I brought all my kids inside and was rudely told, my food was just started so it’ll be 10-15 minutes. What is the point in ordering ahead, or having a drive thru… there was no one inside or in line by the way. This will absolutely be my last time coming here. If it wouldn’t have been a hassle canceling and getting my money back, I would have.

I don’t usually do this but, I used to come to this Captain. D’s all the time but I hadn’t been there in a while simply because the food never tasted right. Today I go and order the deluxe seafood platter. It was awful and a new low their preparation. The fish was mushy like it was old. The devil crab tasted like they stuffed the shell, dropped it in the grease for maybe a minute long enough for it to Brown and took it out. This will be the last time I spend money at this restaurant. I don’t know what they’re doing but the food is getting worse and worse. The customer service was friendly but it does not make up for me paying $15 for food I had to put into the trash. Y’all need to do better. Not for me but for your future customers. This was really bad. Do better next time

There was something odd about their fish compared to other Capt. Ds I have eaten at. Usually you pick a brand youre familiar with. But at this store I was thrown off. As for all other aspects they were friendly polite and helpful. One other thing.There was a big piece of cardboard near the drink dispenser, which I will assume because there was a problem with the drink dispenser.But it was more of a trip hazard than a help.But thats just me talking.

They served me raw fish. The manager told me I would be refunded for my meal. The refund never came. These people are incompetent and inconsiderate. Raw fish could cause serious health problems.

Had the worst experience at this location. Don’t go here if you want to use tap and pay. I was on my lunch break and the machine didn’t work. The person at the window advised me the one at the window wasn’t working properly and that I may want to come inside. I went inside and spent more time trying to get tap and pay to work when my card locked up for swiping so many times. The frustrating part is that it worked well at other places I went to before . Me craving Captain D’s and the terrible experience I had caused me to be 15 minutes late from lunch. Yes I passed by several restaurants but I wanted Captain D’s I should not have had to endure the frustration I did ordering the food I wanted. I called to get the number to corporate and spoke with Ms. Martin, the area or regional manager. She said she could resolve the issue and did absolutely nothing but tell me corporate is going to refer me back to her.

I have the platter and it was very fresh and crispy. I liked the green beans too they were seasoned well. The hush puppies were a little dry but also flavorful.

The food I had was ok. I got the 4 piece chicken tenders with fries and hush puppies. The tenders were fresh and they did taste good. The hush puppies I thought would have a little more flavor but they were good. The only real problem I had was that the lady’s that were working were playing around way too much! My brother asked for sweet and sour sauce and all the lady had to say was no sir we don’t have that type of sauce. She replied with we don’t have that. It’s the way she said it, it sounded very rude. They were even playing around in the restaurant. Like I said the food was good. However, I don’t think it’s good enough for me to try them again.

The staff needs to stop playing around when it is busy and get the food to the customers and not being on there phone. No ear buds is recommended. Suppose to be at work.

The presentation of the food is not appealing, but it did taste like how it was supposed to. The lady at the drive thru line was nice, but definitely in a hurry. I was handed my food and she immediately closed the drive thru window without asking if I needed anything else.
