A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I was craving for sea food today with a low budget, and I remember I haven’t visit Captain D’s in North Charleston for a while, I ask my husband to quickly make a stop over. As usual, Captain D’s never disappoints! The food was fresh and flavorful the fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I also enjoyed the hush puppies and coleslaw; everything was served hot and fast. The staff was friendly and made sure my order was correct. Great spot if you’re craving seafood without breaking the bank. I’ll definitely be come back always.

I don’t usually do this but I went to the Captain D’s in Goose Creek and I hadn’t been going there for a while because every time I went there the food was disappointing. Today it reached a new low. I paid $15 for a meal that I could not eat. The fish was mushy the Democrat. I have no clue what they did with it. It tasted like they just stuffed it, threw it in the grease for a minute or two and then put it into the box. This makes no sense to me at all. Y’all need to do better. I won’t be coming back there again, but for any of your future customers you might want to really look into doing better

This establishment was clean. The staff was decent. Service is slow, but an improvement over past visits. The food is bland, but a good variety. There are condiments to liven up your taste buds. Sides are macaroni, corn on the cob, slaw and a few more choices.

Horrible customer service, our whole order was wrong, no customer service, inappropriate conversation by employees, restaurant was very dirty. The only positive thing I can honestly say is the night manager was super nice, very helpful, honestly felt bad for her working in those conditions

General manager BERVERLY was very Rude ! they messed my order up completely . and would not remake it !!! i drove a whole hour away just to get told i have to wait until monday to speak to the gm . very unprofessional , very rude , just don’t care about the customers happiness . The young girls were very helpful and understanding they were trying to help me more than the GM was !! Def should reconsider her position

I was in drive thru at the order sign for well over 13 minutes before I asked if anyone was going to take my order. The person responded with just a minute please. Then I had to pull up once I got to the window to pay. I only order a 2 piece and fry. Sad part about this is this happens all of the time. I there is a thing called a drive thru time . The food was good but honestly I was more upset about how long I had to wait that I really didn’t enjoy it

This was by far one of the best drive through experiences I’ve had in awhile. The young man at the window was working hard to manage both inside and drive through. It was around 7:30pm on 4/23/25. His pleasant courteous demeamor and smile help to make the wait acceptable. The food was hot and the order was correct including requested condiments. Great Job CD!

Good food, rude worker. She was an older white lady and was rude from start to finish and apparently you cannot ask for sauce without her shutting the window on me, she said it’s in the bag but nope no vinegar. If you are like me , you don’t eat their fish without.

The customer service at this location is always outstanding. However, The wait time on drive thru is usually longer than normal. But the food is always fresh and that’s something I do not mind waiting on☺️
