At our Parkersburg, WV location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Came through here around rush hour. Food was hot and fresh. Drive-thru worker Brandon was kind and managed the line efficiently. We had the catfish, shrimp and coleslaw for $5.99. Price was very reasonable for the price.

Wife & I stopped at this location for a late lunch, just got done dropping off our Lil Grandson to his Mother, we all went out for our usual Hike, this time it was at rear of WVUP walking trail.
Wife & I came into Captain D’s, place was Clean, Staff was very Kind, Nice & Welcomed us with a Smile, We did our Order to eat in, went Great, Staff stated they would bring our Order out to our table, which they did.
The food we ordered was Good Tasting, Fixed Perfect and was just the wright portion as well with the correct seasoning for my taste.
Just at $10 a person, not bad at all.
Thanks for Great Food and Atmosphere.

It had snowed and they had not done anything to the parking lot or sidewalk. Lots of snow that had been packed down by cars and people made extremely slick and dangerous walking to and from restaurant.

Is it possible to get even worse? I returned today to try again. Ordered country style. Got regular. Switched it to something uncheweble and spotted with batter. I could not chew it. It was so hard! Took that back. Cook said not their regular country style. Wasn’t sure what it was. So they gave me regular fish. It was chicken. I went home hungry and $11 poorer. I learned from last time not to order Mac n cheese. Won’t be back.

The quality and portion sizes of the food have decreased steadily over the past few years. I was third in line at the drive thru and it still took 17 minutes to get my order, leaving me 13 minutes to eat before I had to be back to work.

Our food was cold. Food tasted like the grease was old and needed changed. My wife’s fish looked like it had been cooked twice with the way the breading looked. My flounder and hush puppies were under cooked. We can’t recommend anyone eating here. And, my wife and I won’t be going back to Captain D’s ever again.

Very good experience at this location was greeted with a friendly smile. My order was taken promptly. Food came out nice and hot and was exactly what I had ordered. The condiment area was nice and clean and well stocked.
It’s been a while since I’ve gone to a Captain D’s but this experience was superb!! Will definitely be back!!!

The food was great but it took a really long time to place an order and get the food. I ordered thru the drive thru and got the family seafood sampler feast. It fed my family of six.
