At our Princeton, WV location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The food is always tasty and hot. Service is friendly and knowledgeable of promotions. They make you feel at home. When we dine in, we usually run into friends enjoying their meals. This is our go-to “Fish” for dinner unless we’re cooking fish at home.

I was so Disappointed in this restaurant , it was not clean at all very nasty the backs of the chairs had handprints all over them the malt vinegar lids were crusty and dirty the ice machine and the drink dispenser was nasty.
My 2 piece fish dinner had so much grease in the fish that you couldn’t even eat it , it wouldn’t even stay together it was soggy. I would have told the waitress but she was already angry because she forgot to ask me if I wanted to add shrimp to my meal , and that becomes free if they don’t ask you .So I didn’t mention the fish in fear she would do something to it if I sent it back. The restroom was nasty as well. When I left , I called back and asked to speak to a manager , she was the cook lol , but did take my complaint. And offered me a coupon for a Dinner .I said no thank you.
Will I come back??????

I have Breast Cancer and I’m taking Chemotherapy In Beckley WV so we eat at Captain D’s all the time I don’t eat Fish But I Love Shrimp so I always get the Shrimp Meal I have never had there Chicken So I add 2 Pieces of Chicken. I was So Disappointed what i received was 2/two Pieces of I Guess was Chicken They where less then a inch across and like 3 inches long and wear Hard as a Rock and fell apart when you broke them in half . Someone said I shouldn’t complain but my Shrimp was warm my Baked Potato was good and my Corn on Cob was good. Tried Calling them and keep getting what sounded like a fax machine or a message that said line was busy . I Guess I’m Just Missing When Restaurants Cared About Their Customers So Sad

This is my most favorite place to eat. I had taken my friend there to eat for her birthday. We were served efficiently and quickly. Our order was to perfection. The server was the one I always like to get when I go there because she is so kind and generous. If I need anything while I am seated after I have been given my order, she happily retrieves it for me. She conversed with my friend about it being her birthday, and wished her a happy one, then opened the door for us when we were ready to leave as my friend had her rolator, and I had my cane. We talked several days about that delightful dinner, and how much we loved to go to Captain D’s. Let me also mention the restroom was clean, and that was a plus for us too. What an enjoyable evening to remember and talk about in the future. Make sure you try a fresh baked potato sometime with your meal. They are delicious, and come with butter and sour cream! COME SOON AND ENJOY A RELAXED EVENING WITH DELICIOUS FOOD,AND GREAT SERVICE! LET ME ALSO MENTION FROM TIME-TO-TIME WE OFTEN ENCOUNTER A SITUATION WHERE WHEN WE LEAVE WE HAVE MADE A FRIEND OR TWO, OR RAN INTO A FRIEND WE HAVEN’T SEEN FOR A LONG TIME.
