The only small downside was the waiting time, it took a bit longer than expected to get our table and also to receive our food after ordering. They did forget one of our side dishes, but they made it right by offering us a dessert of our choice, which we appreciated.
It’s a little pricey, but that’s expected with seafood. Overall, a very good spot and we would definitely come back.
But looks are very misleading.
We clearly told the waiter multiple times that we do not eat pork — for medical (allergy) and religious reasons.
Despite this, the food was served with pork sausage, discovered after eating.
One person got seriously sick and had to be taken to the hospital.
This is dangerous negligence, not a simple mistake.
If you have allergies or religious restrictions, do not eat here.
Nice photos, high prices, zero safety and responsibility.
Not recommended.
!!! HOWEVER!!! THE PRICES THOUGH!! holy Christ yall have no idea how bad this place is SCAMMING YALL. After I’ve went here, I went to Crab Island Cajun in Clifton NJ. Ordered nearly the same thing I ordered here at Capt Loui. And it was ALMOST A THIRD of what I paid, and just as good!! I mean truthfully. I HAVE SCREENSHOTS HERE. Read the descriptions from the combos of each restaurant, and compare. Nearly identical, but capt loui prices is not just “alittle” expensive, it’s an absolutely obsurd joke. I feel like I got robbed because “yes seafood is expensive” but come on.. not THAT outrageously expensive with no good reason. No good sea food boil is worth the 115$, when I can get it for 50$ AND with more selections at Crab Island Cajun! Yes, it’s tasty. But If you want to make sure your money goes to something that you were REASONABLY charged for, please don’t go here. There’s other places that charge your FAIRLY.
