We took a chance. I’m not sure why there are a number of negative reviews. They don’t deserve it from our experience. We had a party of 4 plus dog. We ate dinner on the beautiful deck overlooking the water. We enjoyed drinks, appetizers, and entrees. Everything tasted fantastic. Our server was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend the fish and chips, the chicken wrap, the steak tacos, burger, and coconut shrimp.

Great views of the water. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Good food. Had lunch… fish and chips, and peel and eat shrimp. Both very good. Limited staff, but all were as attentive as could be.

This is a good restaurant with great views of the water, from inside or outside seating. The food and service was good, but not great. I got the fish and chips. The fish was really amazing, the fries were just okay- basic shoestring fries. The waitress only came by a couple of times to check on us and refill drinks. Otherwise, service was fine. The floors inside are noticeably slanted. The water views are great, and I would return but try something with no fries.

Was on a multi-day trip/celebration and Capsize was recommended. Overall it was a good experience. The location is spectacular. There is a beautiful view of the water all around from the inside. There is also an outside dining area and bar. I don’t drink in general but it appeared to be a hopping place. It was also super hot out so we opted for inside.
The inside wasn’t crowded but it was a bit loud with just a couple of larger families dining. No fault to the restaurant or famies, mostly just acoustics.
The wait staff was pleasant and our waitress was also friendly and engaged while present. The place wasn’t super busy but there were a couple of times when our water glasses were waiting a while to be refilled. I’ll chalk that up to distraction.
I ordered the crab cake. It was pretty good but not the best I’ve had. Def some lump meat but also clearly a good amount of filler. Taste was good. Paired with fries. And again water because no sweet iced tea. I really don’t get MD restaurants hating on sweet iced tea. Ok, rant over.

Overall good. If you’re in the area, check it out. Again, spectacular view, decent food and pleasant wait staff.

All and all, I wasn’t extremely impressed. Id give it a 3.5/5 if I could. It didn’t help the fact that there was an extremely loud group of people behind us while dining, but the service needs improvement. The main issue was the service I found. No waiters walk through the main seating area from what I say aware of customers at tables regardless of if it’s theirs or not. I was missing an item for my meal and it took until I was done eating to be able to flag someone down. In the end, I didn’t even need it really. We ordered appetizers and 4 entrees, and the timing for these was not great. Appetizers came out, as we just started nibbling the entrees arrived and it was overload. Food was alright, portions were big but nothing special. For a day in Oxford, it was good, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

We stopped here on a recent visit to Oxford. The atmosphere was nice inside on the porch although I noticed several dead flies. The wait staff were scarce during our visit and had to flag another one down a couple times. We had the chicken sandwich and the smash burger. The chicken was seasoned well but there was no Mayo or dressing. When I asked for Mayo I w brought a small cup of sour cream. The smash burger was not seasoned enough and fries just ok. I think with a little extra work it could be a nice place to have dinner. There are only a few options in Oxford for dinning , making it a perfect opportunity to be on the top of your game. I wish them that as I do love visiting this town

We had the opportunity to eat at Capsize OXMD last night for the first time since the new steakhouse menu! If you have not been, you are missing out! Everything we had was incredible and cooked to perfection! Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere and A+ Entrees!

Good food and a good price, Service is a bit slow but the kids are working hard so please be patient with them. Food comes out slow as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice view of the water.

What a wonderful place! My wife and I dropped in with a 4-year-old and 9-month-old in tow and had the nicest dinner this evening. The atmosphere is great – we had a table overlooking he water, the servers and staff were super nice, we had great service, and some really good burgers. With kids it’s a crap shoot dining out but everything was prompt and we had a great time.
