Well a few weeks ago, I saw that this location was opening up and today was the day I got to see if the memories I had were accurate. To my surprise today was their actual grand opening and I was their first customer!
Love that they offer up more vegetarian options other than just bread with vegetables. They have veggie turkey slices as well as impossible cheesesteaks.
I ordered the veggie turkey sub and a large fries. Yes fries! First bite into the sandwich and it was apparent they have been consistent over the last decade – everything was exactly as I remember! The bread is fluffy but has chew. The produce is fresh and the veg slices added the right balance and satiation for a cold sandwich. The fries came in a separate bag and The cup they came in was larger than my drink! The bag still felt heavy when I took the cup out and a quick peek in revealed about 20+ more fries!
The staff and owners were delightful and very kind- though I may have been just as excited to be their first customer as they were to see the first customer.
Best sandwich shop title goes to this place!
