This place was so romantic! It is good date night spot, upstairs near the windows.

I went to Caprice for dinner last night and it was amazing! I sat at the bar and had a glass of wine. I had a delicious salad starter, delicious main meal, and dessert! Kat, my server and bartender, was amazing! She had great service for everyone in the bar and lounge. Caprice has a great atmosphere. Candle lit and small lights. Highly recommend dinner here.

Great little Bistro tucked into the middle of downtown. One of the owners greets and seats you with great warmth. The service, our server was amazing, is very attentive and knowledgeable. The menu has some of the well known French favorites but is a bit Americanised. Was hoping for some more adventuresome French but what we had, French onion soup, pate, escargot, a lovely French seafood dish and a rich saucy flounder dish were excellent. It’s been around forever so they are doing it right! We will return!!

I have been coming to this restaurant for years and each time I go I am reminded why I keep coming back. Patricia, the hostess and owner, is very warm and inviting when you come in. The food is excellent. I highly recommend their specialty seafood stew, waterzooi as well as the escargot but any dish I’ve ever had there has been wonderful. The night we went they had a halibut special which was cooked in a shrimp sauce and had such a great flavor. I’m already looking forward to my next visit here!

We had a wonderful dinner experience at Caprice Bistro yesterday evening. Our server, Nick, provided great service including recommendations from the menu and specials. The food was all delicious from the chilled carrot soup to the crème brûlée and everything in between.

An absolute local gem! Gorgeous French meal – just like sitting in a Parisian bistro but in the heart of Wilmington. Cozy ambiance / vibe. The meal starts with fresh, warm baguette and high quality olive oil + balsamic. We ordered family style with a mix of apps (crepe and escargot) and entrees (lamb, beef bourguignon, and waterzooi). Can’t wait to return to try more menu items – each visit can be a new adventure of taste and flavor. We loved hearing the history of the restaurant, the chalkboard drawn map showing where in France / Belgium the owners/chefs are from, and seeing the owners at work in the restaurant until closing, then watching them leave together holding hands. Our server was also very kind, friendly, and engaging and gave us great menu recommendations that we followed. We also greatly appreciated the ease of booking on Open Table. Thank you Caprice, here’s to many more years!

Food was delicious and service was excellent. We had waterzooi, escargot, house special flounder and gratin leek. Leek was okay, rest were excellent. The base(broth) for escargot and waterzooi was creamy and had great flavor. They have variety of alcoholic desserts as well. We settled for crème brûlée and it was nice !

Short walk from Wilmington River walk..we went here for a weeknight dinner. They specialize in French cuisine and are well known for escargot and waterzooi. We tried them both and loved them. We also ordered the leek au gratin which was the special for the day. The gratin was ok. We ended the meal with the creme brulee..which was one of the best we had. Costed us $97 for a weeknight dinner for two. In all a great experience and we would love to go back during our next trip to Wilmington.

Caprice Bistro is me and my husbands go-to restaurant! We love their duck, their French onion soup, their rabbit sausage & I order their steak. Never have had a bad meal there. Their deserts are so yummy & flavorful & we love the “sofa lounge” part! You can make a reservation or try for the bar or sofa lounge if you don’t have reservations!
