I dug this place. Old gentleman Cappelluti was super friendly with good energy vibe. He wasn’t kidding when he said he makes a sandwich with more meat because he would rather customers appreciate then feel skimped. The roast beef was rare and delicious and piled on nicely. Really wish them much success if they sell the venture which seems is the plan. Cute place! Clean too!!!

The BEST.

Kind staff. It’s one of the spots I have to stop by when I’m back to my hometown & on the way out. THE BEST SUBS!! The Italian combo with hot peppers & the works!!
This sub flew about 3,000mi so that it could be shared with my husband. The other 1.5 are a part of us now.
Thanks again & see you on the next trip!

Jim makes the best sandwiches in the area, hands down, with the charm of an old vaudevillian. Always telling a joke or 4, to bring a smile to your face while slinging some ridiculously delicious subs that are overstuffed for a fair price.

Only gave a low review because of the bread, their bread is too hard for my liking . The staff and owner are super nice and I love old school deli feel. I just wish the bread was more softer, I even requested the softest roll they had and it wasn’t soft enough for my liking

Jimmy is the best, and that was honestly the best sandwich I have had in a very long time!
Will absolutely be back

Amazing small local Italian deli where they don’t skimp on the quality or size. You feel like you are actually getting a 10-12$ sub, which is a rarity in 2025.

What’s that? You’re hungry, just finished a game, a work-out, skipped lunch and could eat a horse, but don’t know what you want & you’re tired of the same places. Don’t feel like cooking?Bring your hunger to Cappelluti’s and they’ll feast you like no other. Literally. Their food is like a feast. And unlike most places the food is prepared by the owners which was a huge relief, comfort and peace of mind to an allegedly “persnickety” unnamed reviewer. You get the personal care, attention to detail and superior customer service when your food is made by folks who genuinely want you to enjoy their food. Re-read.
You know darn well that your other “go to” places where you get your food rarely give a hoot about getting your order right. Cappellutti’s does. The Cappellutti experience is like having your food made by your favorite aunt and your freaking hilarious uncle. We Philly folk are highly critical of NJs Hoagies, you heard me…Hoagies!! But, Cappellutti’s shut my mouth.
I had to. I was too busy chewing their ginormous delicious Hoagie that reminded me of the early good old days in Philly. Proper Hoagies. Whether you call it a (misnomered) sub [ahem!!]
I’m extremely fussy about strangers handling my food, but a firefighter friend recommended Cappellutti’s and I love them. They’ll douse your hunger like a fireman knocking down a fire. Good grief their Hoagies are huge!!! Yuuuuuuugggee!! Not in the mood for “lunch” meat? Fine, check out their menu. But for the record, it’s Feast Meat not lunch meat. Your belly will be happier than thanksgiving. Great food made by great people. Get your butt over there already!

I asked them for a sandwich with just cheese and veggies because I’m a vegetarian. They put one slice of cheese on it and gave me all roast beef and charged me $8 for a sandwich I clearly didn’t ask for, and then when I went back to tell them, they decided they wanted to close early for the day and were not open when I went 🙂 So I couldn’t eat the sandwich I’d paid for or get a new one. Because they wanted to close 20 minutes early.
