Taco Heaven in Hot Springs
We stumbled into this gem mid-afternoon when it wasn’t too busy, and wow—what a treat. From start to finish, the service was warm and attentive, and the food arrived fast, piping hot, and absolutely bursting with flavor.
We started with two appetizers: the guacamole and the smashed avocado & ceviche tower. Both were sensational—fresh, vibrant, and delicious enough to make us consider ordering seconds.
For my entrée, I tried three tacos: Negra Modelo Barbacoa, carne asada, and pork belly. Each one was out-of-this-world scrumptious, but the pork belly really stole my heart. My husband went with chicken tinga, a classic taco, and the milanesa taco. He was all praises for them, especially the milanesa—it was his standout favorite.
Every bite was a joy, and we already know this spot will be on our list next time we’re back in Hot Springs. If you’re craving bold flavors, stellar service, and a relaxed vibe, this place delivers.

You know what you know!! This place is an absolute gem when it comes to Mexican cuisine. The ribeye enchiladas were to best I ever had and margaritas is definitely worth coming back. Most restaurants have margaritas for almost $15 but here for only six dollars. You get a 16 ounce delicious margarita. don’t judge the outside of the building just come on in and check it out. Declan, our waiter was so wonderful and explained everything so professional.

My wife and I stopped by Capo’s Tacos for a pre-birthday meal and enjoyed our visit. She had two grilled shrimp tacos with rice and beans and said the shrimp was tasty and satisfying. I ordered the chicken quesadilla—it was loaded with cheese, a bit more than I prefer, but the chicken itself was good. We finished with two slices of tres leches cake, which were absolutely delicious. Christina was our server and did a good job taking care of us. We visit Hot Springs for special occasions, and Capo’s Tacos is always our first stop.

Sebastian and his team are fantastic, from the kitchen to front of house! They were extremely easy to order and organize with for a work event I needed catering for. The food was full of flavor, they went the extra mile to separate and label the different tacos I ordered, and the price was very efficient for the amount of food purchased. My employees scarfed everything down within 20 minutes! Capo’s Tacos has all future business from me and all friends and family who have heard me rave about you! Thank you again!!!!

My friend picked up sandwiches for us from Capos lat night, my first experience with this restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious. The fried potato slices, like potato chips they make themselves, were good, and I loved the other little pinwheel sort of side. I don’t know the menu names for any of the items she ordered for us, but I do know that it fed 3 or 4 of us for about forty something dollars, and I am telling you, that sandwich was delicious. The bun seemed to be fresh baked, the beef was tender and flavorful — this gringa (me! lol) might need to double check with her latina friend to be sure, but the cuisine resonated with my understanding of “authentic” but for someone who has never been further south than Galveston or San Antonio, I am admittedly no expert on the authenticity of Mexicana comida

Capo’s Tacos is a hidden gem in Hot Springs! The tacos are bursting with flavor, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh and prepared with care. I especially loved the pork belly taco—it was absolutely delicious.
The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is super friendly, making the whole dining experience even better.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is a must-try for authentic and flavorful Mexican food. Highly recommend!

Waitress was nice and helpful. Tacos and queso was delicious! Guac not so much. I was a bit disappointed that you have to drink your margarita to a certain point before you can order another one during happy hour. This place is worth another try.

This was ok. Not as good as I hoped. I had chips and salsa which was really good. Along with spicy fried pickles with jalapeño ranch dressing this was really good as well. Now to the tacos. This is a no for me. I had these 4 tacos and here is my review:
Too predicate my review I will say the corn tortillas tasted weird and stale.
1. Negra Modelo Barbacoa, it was juicy but there was no seasoning on this taco and it just didn’t do it for me.
2. Southern Taco, had a fried chicken strip topped with jalapeño ranch, lettuce, tomato, Chipotle crema. This was ok. The sauces had to carry the meal.
3. Baja taco, now this one was good. The red snapper was fried well and the jicama slaw, Habenero mayo, mango Chipotle crema made it pretty tasty. I liked this one.
4. Al Pastor, was dry and tasteless to me.
Give this place a try and let me know what you think.

This is a new-to-town restaurant and it has been popular. First, this is unique. There are creative food and drink. If you’re not feeling adventuresome, don’t worry because the food will capture your palate! I ordered the vegetarian tacos, fish taco, and one chicken taco. For the price, it was a lot of food. We also ordered the Go-big-or-go-home. It’s a deep friend bread taco with a variety of meats and vegetables. We took this home. It’s good the next day but too much to eat. The drink was unique. I got the Oaxaca. Hibiscus, grapefruit something (I hate grapefruit but this was delicious!), and I don’t know what else but it was incredible and not like any drink I have ever had. Mojito also good.
