Capital Ale House is the perfect place to casually eat anytime. We were here for a birthday but we kept that secret from the staff. They had no idea. In spite of that, we still had excellent service from our waiter, PMB. What did the initials stand for? I guess we’ll never know. The food we ordered was also excellent. It was a tough dilemma to choose between fish and chips and chicken tenders. But I made a last second decision to get the margherita pizza. It was a good choice. I even had enough left for leftovers. My tablemates got burgers for Monday burger night that were very cheap yet still delicious as ever. The drinks were amazing as well. The Shirley temple tasted more like a cherry limeade but lucky for cap ale, I like cherry limeade more. I never used the bathroom but it’s probably safe to say it was good. All in all, Capital Ale House provides an excellent dining experience.

I came in the other week for a couple drinks and some food. The bacon and bleu burger was delicious. Jess was my bartender and she was fantastic! She walked me through the extensive beer menu and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. She also made the best Mexican Mule I’ve ever had. I will be going back soon!

We went here for my 21st birthday celebration and we had a blast! They take reservations and we were sat in a quiet secluded area that was very peaceful. We went at about 4:30 and the timing was perfect, not too busy and the food was so fresh and delicious! The salmon was perfect and flaky, the mashed potatoes were whipped to the heavens and the broccoli was pretty great! And they gave me a free dessert for my birthday! This feels like a restaurant that truly cares about their patrons and in todays world, that’s a blessing!

We rented the upstairs space at Capital Ale House for our rehearsal dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the space – it was cozy and it allowed us to move around freely and mingle rather than being confined to a table. We worked with Lauren – and she was very willing and accommodating. She advised us on the amount of food to order for our party and even went out of her way to grab us an extra tray. We ordered the food in advance and there was a wide variety to choose from. It was all delicious, especially the mac and cheese and the brisket. The drinks were excellent as well – they had many local beers on tap. which I really appreciated. All of the servers, Jason, Elly, Patrick, and Wyatt were professional and on top of their game. They checked on us frequently, kept the space clean, and were speedy to bring us drinks! The kitchen manager, Hugh, was also very helpful! Overall, we had a great experience at Capital Ale House! Would recommend.

The Capital Ale House was a really great experience. The biggest problem was deciding from their huge selection of beer. Almost too many choices if that’s possible.
The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly.
The restaurant is quite large and there is also quite a bit of outdoor seating.
There are a lot of dining options in the area, I would make sure to put the Capital Ale House near the top of that list.

The food and service were pretty good!! The drink was delicious (blackberry basil something)!! Found out they are dog friendly as long as you stay on the patio which is awesome!! I would definitely go back!!

Absolutely amazing food and huge selection of draft beers. 100% coming back to try more items on the menu. A little bit hidden off the main road but the food makes it up for the lack of ambiance.

Great restaurant. Well run, food was delicious, service was great, overall wonderful experience. The restaurant really has a nice air to it.
One of their best features is the extensive beer options, with great descriptions on their menu. My husband ordered the Mushroom French Dip Burger with french fries. The burger was very juicy and cooked to order. I had the Krakow, which was made with smoked polish sausage, beer-braised onions, and gouda cheese. Very nice meal in a chill atmosphere.
Definitely will go back to try other specialties on menu.

Jess and Jason at the bar are the best. Jess made awesome recommendations on beer selection. That were awesome. Even mention recommendation that got my attention to come back. I will return to this location just because of Jess

I love this place. I would go on a night where I might otherwise go to Outback Steakhouse, but am in the mood for something a little different. They have a good mix of some multinational classics, from schnitzel to stroganoff, and some foods staring with other letters too. I always get the beignets to go, since I don’t tend to have room for dessert. Everything I’ve tried has been wonderful, and filling.
I’m told their beer selection is quite good (as would be expected of an Ale House), but as I’m not a beer drinker, I have no personal opinion. They do serve Coke products, though, so I’m good.
I’ve been a few times, and the wait staff have always been good. I’ve only had to flag someone down for a refill when I was there as part of a large (25+) group, when it can be a little overwhelming for one person to handle everything. CAH fixed that problem the next time we met there by assigning two waiters to our group.
I didn’t click the “private dining room” option because, while our group has claimed the entire room, people going to the restroom pass through. If your room truly needs to be private for the nature of your conversation /presentation, the room we use is not appropriate. On the other hand, if it’s an adult’s birthday party, speed dating, or a team dinner, I would be comfortable hosting an event at this location.
