Reviews
Every dish was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. The crab dip was creamy and flavorful, and the calabash fried seafood platter was the best I’ve ever had, perfectly seasoned with just the right lightly crisp on the outside.
Service was also top-notch. Our server Christine, also known by Beach, was attentive and friendly, checking in on us often. She was over and beyond, right on point. A very nice lady manager was genuinely eager to make sure we had a great dining experience.
I also loved the background music selection. It had me singing to some of the best oldies but goodies. This is a highly recommended must visit place!
My dish had a lot of ham gristle that really ruined the dish for me. The shrimp, grits, mushrooms, and tomato was very tasty with the exception of the large amount of gristle.
Our server Neon was excellent and the ambiance was nice.
Unfortunately, the food has to be good enough to cause us to want to return.
This was a first visit for us even though we have lived in NC for about 8 yrs.
The ambiance is pleasant and light, with big windows, unbusy seaside décor, perfect for conversation and relaxing.
The appetizers include favorites with a Southern flair like fried green tomatoes and fried okra, but we began with crab dip and pita bread as an appetizer, perfect intro for what came next. For the mains, we chose the Saltimbocca and the Calabash Fried Flounder. My partner found the Saltimbocca tasty, while the flounder was nicely done, hot and tender with very light breading. The portions were generous.
Our server was attentive and the service was prompt and everything arriving at the table fresh and at the right temperature.
Sadly we did not have room for dessert, but we were drawn to the Key Lime pie, the crème brulee and the Pot de crème au chocolate among all the excellent options. Plans are to include a dessert or two with dinner on a return visit in the future.
Highly recommended!
