Excellent Valentine’s dinner tonight. Appetizer of blue cheese potato chips had just the right amount of crunch and chewiness plus tang of the blue cheese. Short ribs was the Valentine’s special and was outstanding served over mashed potatoes with carrots and parsnips. Husband had Philly steak sandwich which he said was good but not the best he’s had. Dessert (not pictured) was Black Forest cake made with marscarpone frosting and raspberry jam. It was excellent – sweet but not overly sweet, moist with the tanginess of the raspberries. P

Cap City never fails to satisfy. Entered when the restaurant was just opening up and within 30 minutes it was at capacity. Food is always prompt. Delicious, weight staff is always friendly, and of course the atmosphere is Cap City.

The food here was moderately good—nothing over the top, but satisfying. I had a cheesesteak with fries, and while the flavors were decent and the portion generous, it could have used a little more seasoning to really stand out. The fries were crisp and enjoyable, especially with the ranch dipping sauce.
What really elevated the experience was the service. Our server, Carlos, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. His service made the visit much more enjoyable and memorable.
The atmosphere was comfortable with a modern diner feel, perfect for a casual meal.

The chicken tenders had some tendons in them. I would have expected the chef to have pulled them prior to making.
The pot roast had large globs of fat with no meat on it. I was surprised they even used this as there was no meat, just fat. The mashed potatoes were too salty in my opinion. I had to eat them with something else to cut the strong salty taste. I would not order the special again based on this experience.
The meatloaf sand which was delicious and came with a slew of fries.
The key lime pie was a delicious combination between sweet and tart!

Had reservations for Mother’s Day, and we were very pleased with everything. Wait time for our table was short, and the server was very accommodating to menu substitutions. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. Seeing all the smiles of others made the evening more enjoyable.

This sure was a fine diner as the name states. I came for the carrot cake and it was awesome. With raisins and nuts and a delicious cream cheese icing. But I also thought I should eat first and the salad did not disappoint. The grilled chicken that came along with it was next level delicious. The staff was great and the atmosphere matched. I will definitely be back

First time dining in here.. heard so many good reviews and recommendations. It was a bit packed, but we got our table in just 5 minutes. Ordered our food and drinks & it came so fast, hot, and delicious.. our waiter was so attentive, too.. I’d love to come back and try other food on their menu.. highly recommended.

Solid four. A bit noisy due to high ceilings but tolerable unless a certain loudmouth bellows out. Tommy was our waiter and was very pleasant as was the runner. All dishes received were well liked and enjoyed. I had the blueberry pancake fritters and they were excellent. Also, had the Trio. It too was excellent. Other dishes were banana fosters French toast and eggs benny.
