Glad they have vegan options that were good. They need to fried their vegan options a little long for a crunch and for it to not be soggy. I’d give their food another chance with specifying a crispier mock meat.

We ordered the potstickers, chicken low mein and beef and broccoli. It’s not a knock your socks off type of place but it does hit the spot. The interior could use some better cleaning/sprucing as well as some updated menus and dishes/silverware. Overall we enjoyed the food and would return.

We had take-out from Canto Bistro at a friends house. The food was really good so as a group of six we decided to go to the restaurant and dine in. I checked their website to see if the took reservations. Did not see anything about it. It was a Saturday so we went and got there at 4:50 pm. We were greeted with “how many”, instead of “good evening” or “hello”. I told her six, please. “Do you have a reservation?” She looked all around the restaurant like there was a problem. There were two tables seated! I told her that we hurried to get there for happy hour as I saw on the website it was from 3:00-5:00. She said they were no long serving happy hour. I looked at my watch and it was 4:50. She said it ended at 4:50. I was trying to joke and be friendly, but she was not having it. She checked with a tall man that had approached the desk. He said it was okay, but we had to order now! We hadn’t even been seated yet! Once we were seated, no server came. We waved the hostess over and told her we’d like to order our happy hour drinks. She said she’s not out server. Our server finally came by and we’re able to order our drinks, which came pretty quickly. It took her a long time to take our food orders and then a long time for the food to come out, one, by one. The food was really good and hot. Some of the dishes seemed a little small compared to others. Not sure why. And they do not have brown rice. And the only Fried Rice was an entree. The tables were out together and wobbly…sticky. So that was not impressive. Overall, very good food, but the service is slow and not friendly. And they could pay more attention to the cleanliness and comfort of their dining room.

First off is the egg flower soup, usually very yolky and gelatin-like consistency. This soup was the exact opposite – excellent flavor, with small bits of chicken and egg whites. I had the kung pao chicken, lots of vegetables and not overly spicy but great flavor. My wife had Mongolian beef, and she asked that it not be too spicy and it came out just right. The restaurant is one large room but with nice booths and tables. The lunch menu had affordable prices and nice portions. Enjoy!
