Cantina Viajero offers truly authentic Mexican cuisine in an airy and nicely designed atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. For those who live in Northwest Pinellas County and Trinity in Southwest Pasco County, Cantina Viajero is an amazing restaurant located near the intersection of Trinity Boulevard and Little Road. A great find in an obscure location. Brie was an excellent waitress and the salsa is handcrafted from roasted tomatoes and onion base. Bravo!

What a hidden gem! This place is amazing! We sat outside because it was so beautiful last night and had the chance to watch the beautiful sunset. Our waitress was great. She was always on top of things. You know sometimes you get forgotten when you sit outside, but she never did. The food was amazing. There were six in our group and everyone absolutely loved everything.

Atmosphere is amazing. Outdoor seating. Food was good. Drinks were very yummy. Chicken Enchiladas sauce tasted like shrimp, wasn’t pleased with it. Nachos were soo good.

Couldn’t be happier with this restaurant. Our server, Brianna, was an absolute DOLL, and she made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. The margarita flight was delicious, everyone needs to try the hibiscus margarita (the one with the flower in the photo). My wife and I had the guacamole, the bacon wrapped shrimp, and we shared the fajita plate with all the meats. It was outstanding!! Will definitely be coming back for more!

I’ve eaten here 3 times
1st visit, food was just okay, ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas, steak was very tough service was good
2nd visit, once again, ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas, shrimp was terrible, steak was edible. Service tucked
3rd Visit,(3 time’s the charm?)not my choice, went with family. Ordered steak fajitas, hoping this time it would be right, Wrong! Steak was flavorless, no char, and very tough, service? Just terrible! We arrived, not busy, 4 empty tables outside, however the host said there was a 30 minute wait, we asked about those tables, she said, we don’t have anything available, the wait is 45 minutes, finally, a table came available, one of the tables that were empty when we arrived…we waited another 15 minutes for service. The food was terrible, the waiter seemed more interested in other parties seated after us, i had to ask for salsa and chips 3 times, until we got any, so, service absolutely sucked! They served our food, we had no utensils on the table, it took another 10 minutes to get them, didn’t I say, the service sucked? We didn’t leave a tip on a $200 order, we, my family of 10 will not be back

I ordered Togo and it was definitely inedible. We ordered the birria tacos and the flavor was so bad that we spit it out on the first bite. There was no cheese at all. We got a hard shell taco for the crunch instead . The sauce in the cup was oily and lacked flavor as well. Our sides were the same. Bland and lacked flavor of any flavor.
Reading through their reviews, Togo is definitely treated different than in house. The photos do not match if you order Togo. 0/10. I don’t recommend getting Togo here.

Our server did not come around at all. In the hour and a half we were there, our table was approached twice. We got our queso without chips. By the time the chips came the queso was cold and solidified. When our food arrived our drinks remained empty. By the time we had enough and REFILLED OUR OWN waters, the food was cold. Despite that it still tasted great so 5 stars for the kitchen. But if I could give negative stars for service I would.

Everything is fresh!
My friend and I went here for the first time today. We had margarita flights, so we could sample them all! You can tell they don’t use a mix. Fresh watermelon, cucumbers, jalapeños, lime juice, all delicious!
We tried the watermelon, skinny, caddilac, cucumber jalapeño, and the hibiscus margaritas. My favorite would be the skinny, my friend was the hibiscus, and I know my husband would like the cucumber jalapeño.
Our server/bartender, Eddie, was very attentive and friendly. You can tell he likes his job and takes pride in what he does.
The food!
Salsa had a really nice flavor, it looked like they had charred the tomatoes that went into it. Nice touch. Chips were nice and warm.
It’s taco Tuesday, so you can select individual tacos to try. I went with birria barbacoa, carne asada, and the al pastor. The birria comes with a nice consommé, very good. The carne asada was probably my favorite, meat was super tender. I also loved the pineapple on the al pastor.
Really, you can’t go wrong with any of them.
Looking forward to eating my way through your menu!!

My friends and I decided to spend Cinco de Mayo at Cantina Viajero in Trinity, FL mind you 6 drove from SpringHill, 1 from Wesley Chapel and I from Tampa, FL. The area was beautiful. They sat us immediately so there was no wait time at all. We sat outside so we can enjoy the music, it’s was a nice breeze. All 8 of us had a great time the food was delicious. Our waitress and Waiter were polite and attentive. The only downfall was they were rushing us to leave our table. 6 left but 2 of us stayed because we were still drinking and wanted to order dessert with the outside entertainment of the Mariachi and the Latin Band. They came out at least 3 times to us while we were still drinking and eating our dessert that our two seat table was needed for customers that needed to order food. When I got up to use the restroom there was no one waiting to be seated which bothered me. We are paying customers, which we spent a lot of money there, only to be rushed to leave our table. I drove over an hour to this place and we decided we won’t come back. Of all the places we have gone we were never rushed to leave our table. Disappointing!!!!!!

Although the restaurant was very visit for our visit they have plenty of seating. We were sat immediately and the server came over pretty swiftly. We had some questions that she answered with professionalism, kindness and patience. She even assisted with having a specialty mocktail made accommodating an allergy. It turned out good!!! The ribs were very good, the rice is okay—more firm than soft. The waitress did not come by much after placing our order, however, the manager visited the tables, including ours, to ask how everything was. Overall, a nice place to eat.
