Delicious food, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and genuinely amazing views, this place nails the full experience.
We started with “The Perfect Bite with chicken”, and it was exactly that, a stacked-high, seriously satisfying dish that we’d absolutely order again. The cauliflower pizza was surprisingly crunchy and super tasty, with a great texture and reminded us of French onion soup on pizza. If you’re a chips person, don’t skip the fresh-baked potato chips, they are some of the best we’ve ever had.
Beyond the food, the space is comfortable and cozy, with furnishings that make you want to settle in and stay a while. The owners even came out to check on us, and they couldn’t have been nicer.
The view is an incredible look at the lake and mountains right through the window. It’s the kind of spot that feels special from the moment you sit down.

I love this place! It is the perfect quaint, lake town restaurant with incredibly friendly staff that always remember me AND great food.
I had been many times by myself when we were finishing our new home here but have since come with family and friends. We have loved sitting at the big couch table and delighted in their delicious, not to mention, beautiful drinks. I LOVE the bruschetta, the steak, the shrimp salad did not skimp on the shrimp, and the chicken tenders!!! So so good!
It is a delight when you run into Ashley, the owner, or get served by the amazing Deanna!!

We stopped in just for a drink on a warm fall day and took a seat outside. The bartender was very accommodating and so friendly. The water levels weren’t completely full but it was still a beautiful view. All the other patrons seemed to be enjoying their food and time at the restaurant as well. The deck was clean and so were the bathrooms.

What a great new place in the mountains near Chimney Rock Village. The views are great even though that the lake was near empty.
I love the home feel to this place. The couches, old style accent chairs, terrace, outdoor seeting and activities. Just great vibe.
Drinks were yummy and creative. Food was tasty, fresh and present in style.

The decor outside was already charming, the additional details inside sold me before we even sat down. Heidi was warm and welcoming as we took two seats at the bar. The Enchanted Nightshade is a truly inventive drink that is both delicious and aesthetically pleasing. Major kudos to Heidi for her expert blends! We had chicken tenders and house chips while we waited and were extremely pleased with the breading and overall experience/atmosphere while they made our to go dinners. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a charming, satisfying and delicious local experience at Lake Lure.

We had a great experience dinning at Canoe on a late Sunday evening. Owner Ashley was so welcoming and friendly. Loved hearing the story of why they started the business. Our spicy mules, summer salad and steak frites were really good. The atmosphere is eclectic and fun. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful meal at Canoe Kitchen and Bar while in Lake Lure for a family trip. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our family, including presenting each of the kids with a mini easel, canvas and paints. They were so kind and attentive. The food also was delicious – the menu was varied and had something for everyone in our diverse group. The pizza in particular was so special. Also – the views are beautiful and the decor is very tasteful yet full of personality. Highly recommend – go and you won’t regret it!

My goodness—this restaurant was absolutely amazing! From the unique, classy décor to the breathtaking views of the mountains and lake, everything was just perfect. The food was incredible—I ordered the seafood rice and the papa rellena, and both were soooo good! We came to celebrate my cousin’s birthday, and everyone in our group was beyond happy with their meals. The customer service was just as amazing as the food. I will definitely be coming back with my husband and daughter. Highly recommend!

Stopped for a cocktail at this warm, friendly, homey bar and restaurant. Amazingly friendly team. Beautiful setting overlooking the recovering Lake Lure. The fall cocktail specials included a delicious pumpkin spice rumchata martini. We will be back.
