Cane Pazzo is an outstanding Italian restaurant and an absolute hidden gem on Yeamans Hall Road. From the moment we sat down, everything was dialed in. We started with the house bread, which was incredible on its own and set the tone right away. Then came the crispy mozzarella sticks, and I honestly was not prepared for how good they were, easily some of the best cheese sticks I have ever had, perfectly crispy, rich, and full of flavor.
For the main courses, I wish I could properly pronounce the Italian names, but I can say this, my wife’s pasta, dyed with squid ink, was hands down the best Italian dish she has ever eaten. My pasta featured shredded rabbit, and even though I own two rabbits, I managed to power through with only a little emotional hesitation, and it was absolutely worth it. The flavors were deep, balanced, and clearly crafted with care.
The service was immaculate. We never waited on anything, not once. The general manager stopped by our table several times, genuinely welcoming and clearly invested in the experience. You can tell this place is well run and loved by its staff.
One important note, this place stays packed for a reason. Make your reservation at least two weeks in advance, every second is worth it. Cane Pazzo is a must visit if you love truly great Italian food.

Dining at Cane Pazzo was delightful. We happened to be there celebrating a birthday, and were met with a hand-signed birthday card on our table, and the entire restaurant felt cozy and welcoming.
The wait staff explained the menu to us, elaborating when asked. Everything was delicious, particularly the home-made pastas. The portion sizes were perfect, ensuring we had just enough room for dessert and aperitifs.
We were pleasantly surprised with some of their limoncello, and had the blood orange sorbet and some cannoli, which was served with a lit birthday candle…a nice lil touch!
Highly recommend Cane Pazzo for your next night out!

I didn’t realize reservations were highly recommended…. but luckily, we got there right at opening. Manager greeted us warmly, and offered to seat us at the bar. Bartender was super friendly, really great guy, helped make our evening special. My friend got the Lumache with bolognese… all the pasta is made fresh in house. Absolutely perfect al dente, and the bolognese was rich, flavorful, incredible. I got the saffron risotto with pork ragu. After my first bite, all I could say was “Wow!”. Absolutely perfect cook, incredible flavor, and the saffron was fragrant and delicious. The garlic crumble on top gave it a perfect contrast of texture. Service was attentive but not overbearing, glasses were kept full. This was an absolutely stellar dining experience.

Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The drinks were expertly crafted, with a great selection of wine that perfectly complemented the dinner, Each course was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked, showcasing the chef’s passion for quality and detail.

Excellent dining experience at Cane Pazzo. It is outside of downtown Charleston, therefore parking is a breeze. All their pasta is homemade. The oysters were perfectly fried to be able to appreciate the taste of the oyster. The cavatelli vegetarian pasta dish was very good and was a good portion size. Would highly recommend.

My daughter and I came for the first time on 12/17/25. We waited about 30m and got seated at the bar. I was really impressed by the atmosphere and customer service. I’m huge on customer service and from beginning to end they nailed it! The food was amazing. The sauce and the texture of the meatballs were top tier! The meatballs weren’t heavy but satisfyingly delicious! The sauce I could eat on anything! That Daily Bread had me in a chokehold! lol I loved it. I will be back. Everyone was so nice and pleasant. Nick must have a tape recorder in his collar because he remembered our order without writing it down and was fixing drinks at the same time. He answered our questions about the food and helped us in our decision making for our order. He was great. Mr. Bolcholz, thanks for bringing this gem to the Charleston area. Haven’t had authentic Italian food since leaving home. (NJ).

My husband and I had dinner here and it was both fun and delicious. We started with wood fired bread and the oysters. The oysters were the best I have ever eaten outside of the backyard oyster roasts my brother hosts… the oysters were that fresh. I had the homemade pasta while my husband had a massive pork chop cooked in the wood fired oven. That was the most tender pork chop I have ever tasted. We had mushrooms as our side. We shared the affogato for dessert. The open kitchen is interesting to witness, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. Marina, the restaurant manager checked on us multiple times. You really feel special when you come to this restaurant. When we are back in Charleston again we will definitely eat here.

It’s veteran owned, the menu changes every other week, they have a patio, they have a chefs counter, reservations only other than 7 bar seats which are first come first serve, they make the pastas fresh daily, farm to table 95% of everything here is local. Our server nick was amazing. Everything was so good! 10/10 would suggest! I dug into the meatballs before the picture.

Cane Pazzo is truly an amazing restaurant that goes above and beyond to make every dining experience special. The environment is warm and inviting. The food itself is outstanding and always perfectly prepared. But what really sets Cane Pazzo apart is the service. The staff doesn’t just take care of you; they anticipate your needs. At our visit, they overheard us talking about an appetizer we wanted to try and surprised us by gifting it to our table, a gesture that showed just how thoughtful and attentive they are. It’s that kind of next-level hospitality that makes Cane Pazzo unforgettable.
