We went to try out Candi’s BZB Cafe for Sunday breakfast. It was our first time there. We found easy parking right out front and more in the rear. It is a long, narrow place with tables and booths from front to back and a long counter and kitchen along one side. We arrived just before 10AM and were able to pick our table. Many empty ones. Not too busy. We sat near the kitchen (and got great, attentive service as a result!). Our waitress was very pleasant and prompt. The atmosphere was a very down-to-earth, small-town cafe style. The restaurant was clean, brightly lit and smelled great. The menu was extensive but not overwhelming with choices. I ordered the biscuits & gravy and an order of french toast with coffee. My partner ordered a more traditional egg, potatoes and toast breakfast. The food arrived quickly. It was hot and delicious. We enjoyed everything about Candi’s and knew we would be back often, except for…the coffee. Well, we’re kind of coffee snobs who enjoy a good Biggby or McCafe flavored iced coffee, or the many concoctions we brew at home on our Keurig. The coffee here could definitely use some work. I would compare it to Big Boy coffee, if you know what that’s like…about Maxwell House quality. Fortunately, the coffee is cheaper here than most, so can’t complain too much, with free refills and all. Our total bill, with tax, was only $18. I highly recommend Candi’s BZB Cafe for breakfast. Bring cash. They don’t take plastic. They also have a seniors menu for us older folks, although I didn’t partake. Lighter fare and even lower prices! Also, you can get egg whites instead of whole eggs for just $1 more. Sorry I didn’t get pics of the menu. I don’t see the regular menu anywhere online but did notice the senior menu posted on their facebook page.

Quality of food has gone down drastically and pricing increased just as drastically.
Order of sausage gravy and biscuits and four pieces of bacon was $11.!!
You can’t even see any sausage, just the pepper flakes in the gravy. No real flavor at all.
Very disappointed and will not be returning.
The best thing was how polite the server was.

Now permanently closed and up for sale but what it used to be like…. Locally-owned and operated with very knowledgeable staff and fair prices. Comfort food classics.

The price was way to out of line for the food, 2 regular breakfast were 46.61. We will not ever go back.

Several of us ordered breakfast they messed up every last order and didn’t say anything when food was picked up. They sent syrup in a strafoam cup. It was supposed to be strawberries and whipping cream. Sad they failed epic today
