Thanks for visiting the Beaverton Farmer’s Market week in and out. I appreciate that the main operator remembers customers names (probably many orders too) and they seem to be doing the best they can between a combination of family and paid employees.
There’s always a weekly special tamale or two. This week was lamb and wrapped in banana leaf.

We loved service of the owner. The presentation of the food wasn’t great but I do know he had a new cook. The steak burrito I had was was big and very flavorful. The Tortilla soup was a bit on the spicy side for my granddaughter. The grilled asparagus and shrimp dish was really good but a little heavy on the Chipotle for my wife. If we are by that way again I will stop by for another meal.

This hidden treasure is a place you don’t need to go to if you’re in a hurry, or want your traditional sit down restaurant.
– AMAZING TAMALES
– AMAZING LIMEADE, and their Horchata is out of this world with flavor that will take you to a tropical paradise.
– Asparagus that’s greener than any you’ve seen before with a slight crunch when you bite down that’s full of flavor.
– Their salsa is flavorful, fresh, and homemade.
– Rice & Beans are exquisite
The food was above average, it was authentic, very delicious.
Don’t let their prices differ you, as when you get your plate get ready for your taste buds to be opened up and take you for a wild ride. I have read the negative reviews, and came to the conclusion that everyone is entitled to they’re own opinion. However, don’t let those scare you away as most thing of a restaurant as a Olive Garden and not a traditional family owned establishment that’s satisfied with their own ways.

Charlie is a gruff adorable owner who will make your mouth happy w/ tamales of every kind. Be patient, find a seat and he will be w/you asap. There is a yellow menu for take out(frozen tamales) or a hot meal on the two regular menus. Frozen tamales come in 4 packs and are individually large. And the margaritas come w/ chili salt on the rim. Great atmosphere and fun to watch Charlie interact w/other customers. Love this place, will return soon!❤

I found the antique store going out of business and stopped by…Charlie seemed nice at first I saw a vintage lighter I was interested and asked the price he said $20. I looked around for about another 15 more minutes then he came back asked if I had any questions I said no but ill take the lighter. He immediately said lighter isn’t for sale that’s why I put it in my pocket. Extremely rude buyer beware steer clear of this place.

The owner is closing the business necause hes retiring. About damn time. Thanks for making your community relieved. The older guy ruined the experience. Was that the owner/manager? He talked politics with the table next to us. He sounded very much like the type that only reads Facebook and never researches anything. Everywhere I go people scream their political opinions at me unwarranted. I’d rather relax while enjoying a dinner with people without hearing about politics from any side. Running a restaurant while forcing political conversations on patrons seems odd. I don’t enjoy saying this but I feel like it needs to be said. I’ve talked to other Milwaukie citizens and they’ve said the same thing

Horrible vegan tamales after the owner talked so highly of them. Place was empty and I know why. Black beans still tasted of aluminum can. Nothing had flavor, except for the salsa, and they only give you a tablespoon per tamale. I went for the antiques next door, and they were all over priced, and owner began insulting resellers, after I told him I was a reseller.

If you described a tamale to an extraterrestrial and they made you one based on that description, it would be more authentic than these “tamales”.
Also, I dont want to hear the owner’s weird politics while I eat.

Amazing! Food was delicious, Service was spectacular. A little spendy. Tiny seating area inside and a handful of tables outside. Worth a stop for sure.

At Milwaukie Farmer’s Market location. My omelet was exceptional, loaded with fresh veggies, and worth the wait. His pork tacos were “pretty ok”.
