we ordered 3 pizzas (2 large, 1 small thin) and a salad (~$85) at 4pm for 430pm pickup and we were late at 445pm (no fault of theirs). The small pizza is missing we were told it wasn’t ordered and the order in front of them doesn’t show a small so we had to pay another $15, now totalling ~ $100 basically and now have to wait for them to cook it which took another 25 minutes. I ask for receipts because my credit card shows both charge what I stated and the first receipt says ~$60. So the question begs where did the other $20 go. I’ll update once the transaction settles. We get in the car and my mom asked me to give her the salad so it wasn’t on the pizza. The salad was warm and so was the dressing and it wilted (so a salad kept under the warmer with the pizzas for at least up to an hour). By the time we got to my grandfather’s birthday the pizza is warm at best (not their fault we had to drive to be fair). Pizza cheese sticking to cardboard box and peeling with itz easily solved with us putting parchment paper under it immediately. I used the oven to reheat to try and keep texture which worked for me but others were impatient and used the microwave. So I thought it was good reheated but just the whole ordeal and sad results and no refund offered or management escalation just ruined the “taste” for us. Long time customers but new owners (yea I’ll say it) don’t seem to be aware the parking lot and tables are getting empty. Only reason I’m giving 3 stars for the food is because I love pizza and I took the time to reheat it in the oven.
I can get more food and better quality from Dominos. Drop the prices this is insane.

Campanella’s is one of those places that consistently delivers. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and well portioned — from the pizza and calzones to the pasta dishes. You can tell they care about quality ingredients and doing things the right way. Service has always been attentive and professional, and the atmosphere is welcoming every time we come in. A solid local Italian restaurant that’s been doing it right for years. Highly recommend.

FOOD POISONING ALERT
I have been coming to Campanellas for the past 25 years. I have countless beautiful memories here with family and friends. Since it has turned over new ownership, I have been reluctant to write a review because of inconsistency in food and service, but after spending the past 3 days with FOOD POISONING from the SALAD, I have to sadly share.
My boyfriend and I have both been sick for days after both eating the salad from Campanellas. After seeing multiple complaints on here of people getting food poisoning from the salad I am horrified. The new owner is running my favorite childhood restaurant into the ground.
Additional complaints from this regular who has been dining here twice a week for 25 years:
1.Multiple stuffed Greeks in house and takeout have come without the feta or olives.
2. The new owner is cutting costs by using lower quality feta and tomatoes and you can’t fool this stuffed Greek lover.
3. The dressing tastes different every time now. Sometimes it’s very bland
4. The service has gotten horrible, we wait over 20 minutes for sodas every time while we watch our waitress make small talk at the bar.
******Something needs to be done about the multiple people on here getting food poisoning from your salad. I don’t know if I will feel safe to order salad from here ever again unless the old owners take over.
Campanellas was a well oiled machine for decades. Don’t mess with perfection. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Nobody asked for taco pizza. We don’t need this massive fridge full of week old shitty desert. And the baby pictures printed on the cheap canvases from the mall kiosk, very cute baby but really not necessary every 2 feet.
Please bring back the old owners !!!!!!!

The food is great but the prices are so much higher. I understand everything is going up but for a pizza and sandwich family type restaurant it’s a little to high all at once. You are charging extra on the calzones if it’s wheat (really). I bought the salad dressing all the time when Richard owned it and he only raised the price once by 35 cents. Now it went up 80 cents. That’s a big jump at once. Like I said I understand everything is going up but you are losing customers because of your high prices. Capanellla’s is not Cafe Itri. Sorry.

I used to go here for years to get their chicken Parm sandwiches, they were excellent! After 5 years I went back today for 2 sandwiches at 12 bucks a pop. I was extremely disappointed! They were on the quality level of a fast food joint and that’s complementing the fast food joint. They were once an award winning restaurant and now are just in it for the money. How sad to see this happen to an old Cranston favorite!!!

The meatballs and sausage was so good we wanted another plate. The pizza was cut into squares and had a nice thin crisp crust. We enjoyed every bite of food and will definitely be back in the future.

Pizza was very good… crust was thick enough to avoid droup, sauce was good but not near enough, cheese was excellent and the toppings, pepperoni and ham were also very good. Add more sauce and you would have an excellent pizza!
Today I had the lasagna and it was very good, made with sweet sausage which is a bit unusual, and lots of cheese. The sauce was also very tasty.
I ordered the hot turkey sandwich and the pasta and chicken parmigiana. Both were excellent! The turkey was baked on site as advertised. Juicy and tender and lots of it, the sandwich can with cheese and lettuce and was served hot. Turkey is hard to find in RI and this was the best yet. The chicken parmigiana was also excellent except that the tomato sauce was very heavy. almost a BBQ sauce. I would have prefered a more milder sauce, but that is personal preference. The chick was tender and again here was plenty. They offer several pasta choices, but no whole grain pasta. The parmigiana came with a salad which was very large, contained several types of greens, carrots and very aromatic onions. Bread was also included and again it was excellent. The menu says that the bread is baked on site andI believe it. Prices were good especially considering the portion size. I ordered take out which was ready when I arrived. All in all a very good local restaurant.

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I had the sautéed peppers, a grilled meatball pizza, and a pepperoni pizza. The peppers were nicely done, very good flavor with excellent garlic bread. The pepperoni pizza was quite good also. Nice crust, nice flavor. The grilled pizza was my favorite. Excellent crust, great flavor, just an all-around winner. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 8.4.

This is my 87 y/o mom’s favorite pizza place. Thin and crispy and well done is her preferred meal with a garden salad with chicken. The salads are fresh, the house dressing is perfect- oil, vinegar & herbs. The calzones my favorite are fantastic! There’s over a dozen to choose from- my fav is the sausage, mushrooms, sauce and cheddar cheese with wheat dough. This spot is a family favorite, neighborhood favorite restaurant with a variety of pasta, salads, sandwiches, calzones and pizzas. The couple sitting next to ours had pasta dishes I couldn’t keep my eyes off of! There’s also a bar with 2 large TVs. It was busy and the waitstaff were working hard.

Have only been here a couple of times so far despite the close proximity, and each time I’ve kept it simple with spaghetti and meatballs. Can’t go wrong. But there are plenty of other options, especially the calzones. Looks like a good drink menu, but I made the mistake of staying dry the last time I visited. [Warning: incoming Dad joke] The irony being that there was a nor’easter that evening. Speaking of which, I don’t really know how busy Campanella’s is on a typical autumn Sunday evening, but if you want to be literally the only ones seated at a restaurant, do what we did and visit during a rainstorm an hour before closing. It was awesome.
