I read and heard that the burgers and food here were excellent and just so happened to be in the neighborhood. It was a great lunchtime choice. I didn’t expect the house burger to be so big! Grilled onions, beer mustard, house pickles and a giant bun. That was a big, fulfilling meal. I tried the potato pierogis as an appetizer. They weren’t your traditional shaped pierogi but they did taste good. The house made beer mustard and horseradish cream went well with them. My waitress was very smiling and nice. Very cool bar to knock a few back. I will need to check out their happy hour one day as well as their Tuesday Po’Boy special.

My boyfriend, his mom, and I walked in here for the first time on a whim while window shopping in downtown West Allis on an early Friday afternoon. It wasn’t super busy, but there were a few people drinking at the bar and others playing some of the slot games when we came in. With that and the wait staff who were all very friendly to us, the vibe felt chill enough to hang out for a few hours despite us being there mostly just for food.
We all love a good Friday fish fry, so we decided to get three seafood bonanzas with varying sides. All of us agreed that the fish and shrimp was fried to absolutely perfection, but the calamari was sadly too tough and chewy to finish (probably fried for too long with the other stuff).
BF and I agreed the clam chowder soup was one of the best we’d ever had.
BF’s mom said the potato pancakes weren’t made the way she was expecting, but they were good nonetheless.
I prefer my brussel sprouts to be cut in half and baked with a bit of oil, so that’s more of what I was hoping for with my side. They still tasted good, but they were fried so much that it didn’t feel like I was really eating a vegetable anymore. They had fallen apart so much too that it almost felt like I was just eating a fried crunchy topping for a rice bowl or something. I ate all of them but felt a bit bad after.
We also got an appetizer of cheese curds to begin with, and those tasted amazing.
Overall, I’d definitely come back here, but I’d probably switch my choices. Some of their menu items were big hits with others leaving us feeling a bit meh. If I had been slamming drinks all night, I’d probably care less about the menu misses, but this place didn’t really have the vibe of a bar to get smashed at.

Nice location in the heart of West Allis. Big windows opening up to Greenfield Avenue, Lots of inside seating options, room to the west great for big groups. Feels good here, enhanced by old hardwood floors and eclectic decor.
Service was good, although we were there at 145pm on a Thursday. Talking to others, service is good even at busy times.
The food was excellent. Big cheese curds (?breaded in house?) freshly fried but not greasy. Fries with an IPA sauce very good also. Had cheeseburgers, which are half pound patties cooked to perfection, topped with caramelized onions and American cheese, served on toasted bun. Pierogis filled with sauerkraut, potato and bacon served with horseradish crème as well as beer mustard. The pierogis were delicate, taste easily overwhelmed by the FANTASTIC horseradish crème sauce, some of which I put on my burger. Oh my….

This was the first restaurant we have been to in Milwaukee, and it did not disappoint.
My wife enjoyed the Watermelon Salad, which wasn’t for me, but she really enjoyed it.
I had the “Cubanski” which was very tasty and bigger than I expected.
Friendly staff and cold beer, what else could we ask for?

Can’t say enough about the food. Not yiur average meal. Service was really good, but I dont give 5 stars easily. I would describe the atmosphere as ‘clean’. Otherwise its average. Menu is a mix of burgers and fries but otherwise has good and uncommon choices. I recommend it while in or near West Allis.

I stopped in last night a little before 9pm (Monday 2/16) for the dine-in burger special. I’m very glad I did, and I could not find something bad to say if I tried. Ashley M provided great service… And I have to say, the burger is a contender for my vote in the WI best burger competition!

Had dinner at Camino in West Allis last night. The food was so good, as it always is. I could put the creamy horseradish sauce on everything! I really want to call out the service we received. Our server’s name was Birdie and she is special. So attentive, friendly, great sense of humor. She established a connection in the short time we were at her table. I had a friend in from out of town and it was so great to show them that kind of experience!! If you go and are fortunate enough to have Birdie as your server, tell her I said hi!

We took our granddaughter out to lunch. I got the French toast. It was two pieces of bread cut on the diagonal and included butter and syrup. The butter looked like it had been left out and melted a bit before being rechilled. It didn’t look fresh. The syrup was fine. It was served with a small ramikin of fruit. Honestly, for $15 it was insufficient. My husband’s $18 burger was just okay. Not seasoned well and undercooked. The egg and bacon on the burger were good. He didn’t care for the seasoning on the potatoes so left them mostly uneaten. Our granddaughter enjoyed her fried pickles and french toast. She had rootbeer to drink. We had water. The tab with tax and tip was $76.00. We most likely won’t be back. Too expensive for what you get. Service was good. Staff friendly and courteous.
