Stumbled onto this place completely by accident. We were heading to Blackbird Bakehouse for their fresh sandwiches, only to find out that part of their business had closed down and no longer served any. Luckily, they pointed us down the block to Camille’s Sidewalk Cafe and said, “it’s probably the best food in Gallup.” And honestly… they weren’t wrong.
When you’re on the road, it’s tough to find something that isn’t fast food, especially when you’re not from the area and just relying on internet searches. This little detour turned out to be such a win. I wasn’t expecting the food to be this fresh or flavorful. I almost forgot to take pictures because I was too busy enjoying every bite.
The restaurant was very clean, and the service was outstanding too. The girl who took our order had a smile on her face the entire time and made the whole experience even better. I know there is some not so great reviews for them, but our experience was phenomenal. Try it for yourself.
They have daily soups and pastry options, which looked amazing, but definitely try the avocado toast and the pretzel roll. If you’re passing through Gallup and want something fresh and satisfying, this spot is absolutely worth stopping for.

We stopped in for dinner while they were setting up for their car show, and it was such a great experience. The owner personally greeted us in the parking lot and invited us to park there, which was a huge relief after a long drive from LA—we didn’t want to deal with finding parking elsewhere.
We ordered two pizzas, sandwiches, smoothies, teas, and desserts. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed the Thai salad—it had just the right amount of chicken, so the fresh greens and veggies could shine. The smoothies were refreshing, and the cheesecake was a perfect way to end the night.
The vibe was friendly and relaxed, and the car show added a fun touch to the evening. I didn’t want anything fried or heavy—just something made with quality ingredients—and Camille’s delivered.
Oh, and if you get a chance, try the toffee coffee. So good!

Quesadilla Bowl…. sucked not worth it… my mother didn’t even like it… she rather eat popcorn… just a bowl of rice. Better off getting the bowl from Taco Bell. The Raspberry cheese cake was good…but it had lemon can’t “taste the lemon at all”. . Also nobody came to take my order when I was siting… and keep making me get up to check to see if they were done with my meal… considering my bowl was just a bowl full of rice upsetting.. . ..

Flat bread pizza was from a frozen premade crust, not fresh or flavorful at all. The rice bowl that I ordered was not fresh, the avocado was inedible, the rice was minite rice, and the “fresh” toppings of onion, cilantro and cheese were at least a few days old and not fresh at all. I specifically looked for a place that I could get some fresh unprocessed food, and it was quite the disappointment. Smoothies were good. The service was good, the price was high, the place was clean and neat, but the food was a huge let down. I got 3 personal pizzas, 1 rice bowl and 5 smoothoes 91$…

This place lived up to its reputation. The food was good and we really liked the atmosphere. Worth the stop, even if you are just passing through.

Today I ordered a tuna sandwich online and not sure how the system works. Did not get any updates of in progress or ready. Went inside, got my food, a tea and left. Drove 45 mins back home and my sandwich was the worst. The marble rye was just dry and had a mold spot on it. My chips were also stale. I threw it away and it was like $20. I used to love this place but think I’ll opt for a different place next time.

I recently stopped by this restaurant for lunch and ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap, which was served cut in half. After eating the first half, I noticed a red hair on the second half of my wrap. To confirm what I was seeing, I showed it to my coworker, and we both agreed that it was indeed a hair. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture, as I felt a bit disgusted knowing I had already eaten the other half.
I approached the counter where orders were placed and saw three employees—one was cleaning while the other two were chatting. An older lady glanced at a worker named Justice (I got her name during the interaction), and I informed them about the hair in my food. Their reaction was disappointing; they looked at me as if they were annoyed by my complaint, without offering an apology or any acknowledgment.
I asked if they could remake my wrap and make it to-go since I needed to return to work. I returned my tray, which still had some chips on it, and Justice said she would prepare a new wrap. A few minutes later, she handed me the replacement—just the wrap itself. In other restaurants, the entire meal would typically be replaced.
I’ve never had an experience where a server failed to apologize or showed such an indifferent attitude toward a serious issue like finding hair in my food. I debated whether to write a review but initially thought it wouldn’t change anything. However, after opening the container of the replacement wrap, I realized it was mostly just lettuce. I keep returning to this establishment, hoping for a better experience, but it always falls short

1st date, lunch from the office, or casual business meeting? Yes! Comfortable and spacious cozy cafe feel but could work in busy downtown Chicago. I chose the Mexican Daredevil Wrap with a side of tortill chips and salsa. The wrap was great! Simple but heart warming cheesy goodness and filling comfort with the flare of southwest. The counter greeting was lacking, and it could have been the focus on cleaning from a previous shift. I’d recommend if a 1st time visitor ask for a menu or ask the lovely little lady making the sandwiches her thoughts. Either way definitely worth the money!

We were the only customers in the cafe. Waited 15 minutes after placing order to be told they “closed their wrap station a long time ago” and they acted like it was our fault. They let us substitute another sandwich instead. We get to the car to find out they didnt even give us a quisadilla bowl we ordered. We went back in immediately and they preceded to tell us they “ran out of rice a long time ago” and questioned when we placed the order even though they all saw us walk in 15 minutes prior and order… We were given a refund for the bowel after back and forth and being made to feel we were inconveniencing them. Will not return if this is how they treat customers.

The service was friendly. Love that they are bringing healthy options to Gallup. But the food was not good. The avocado toast was inedible, it was so unripe that I broke a plastic fork trying to cut into it. Smoothies were good though!
